I bought a new case of the 4health chicken on Friday that Scooter has been eating since I switched him to wet shortly after he was diagnosed. Last night he didn't want to eat his +4. He walked up to it, turned away and pawed at the floor like he was trying to cover it up. I had some Tiki Cat chicken and gave him some of it and he gobbled it up. I fixed it in his feeder for his +6 and +7. This morning he is higher than he's been in a long time. Y'all will think I'm nuts but I had tried him on the Tiki Cat several times back when his numbers were higher and it always seemed like it made his numbers even worse. I would stop feeding it and he would go down some. Has anyone else noticed higher numbers with Tiki Cat??? The Tiki Cat is 0 carb the same as the 4health, but it is higher in protien. Could the protien raise his BG??? The 4health that I just bought seems a little mushier than what I had before, I don't know if they changed the formula and that's why Scooter doesn't want to eat it or if he just suddenly got tired of it. I will be going to TSC after church this morning to try and find something else for him to eat. He likes Fancy Feast, but it gives him diarrhea if he eats very much of it.
