Good Morning, Everyone,

It's cold (39 degrees), but it's not raining, so after lunch we will go to the lake where the loons "raft" prior to their migration to see if they are there. So exciting to see, if they are still there.

Rusty is either bouncing or not liking having company, even if it is family! He did have that 73 yesterday, which wasn't low for him typically, but was lower than he's been lately. So maybe this is a bounce. He slept with his beans all night. This morning we had a good test, breakfast (Wellness Chicken), good shot, and a nap in his little bed by the radiator. I went btb on the couch this morning (it was so dark and so cold) and Rusty joined me for a good snuggle. Now he is back on his little bed. Edward is baking another loaf of bread. And we are getting ready to put the canoes on the car for today's loon-viewing.

I cannot imagine it's so cold in NY already! We are still pretty hot in HK, around 29 degrees in the afternoon time.

Here is to successful loon viewing. I so hope that they are still there, and am equally as glad that you do not have awful weather. It should be great paddle.

BRRRRR on that 39. I do like however the BTB on the couch, and the furry purry that kept you company. Way to go Rusty! Well done.

Have a great day, enjoy the time with your sister, and I hope you guys come home to A rusty wearing blue, maybe even some green.

That sounds like a very exciting day Ella! Hope the loons cooperate and that you come home to a safely green (or at least blue) kitty. Hear that Rusty?

Good luck spotting the loons, that must be so thrilling! Rusty is starting off in sunny yellows, wish I had the answer on whether it is a bounce, company stress, weather change, just a cat... :lol: Kittle cuddles is a great way to spend a cold morning! Hope you have a great day.

Hope you had a good paddle and got to see the loons. Hope Rusty gave you some blue when you came home.

Hi again,
Rusty did come down at +9 and even had a green!

We were able to see lots of loons (we counted 39), but only from the beach. It was cold and terribly windy (whitecaps on the lake) and no one wanted to paddle. So we watched the loons for a while with binoculars and then went to a local dive and had chili. Since we put the boats on the car today, we won't have to do it tomorrow morning, when we leave early for the Bog River Flow and our annual Columbus day paddle/picnic. The Bog River Flow is pretty well sheltered from high winds, so even if it is very cold, it should be a fun paddle. I made a potato salad to take to the picnic. It is really nice having my sister here again for the paddle. She and I paddle our tandem canoe, while Edward paddles a solo.

Rusty is asleep in his basket by the radiator and we are about to watch the new season of "Upstairs Downstairs" on Masterpiece Theatre.

Well that still sounds like a nice non-paddle!
And Rusty greeted you with some green , even better.

It's nice you get to have time with family even if Rusty prefers less company. Seems like he's getting over it now. :mrgreen:
