same old same old! :lol: i haven't actually seen punkin yet this morning i was zonked out and the DH took care of him. he's probably in the basement right now - punkin's favorite hang-out spot. anya was waiting for me outside the bedroom door. my daughter came yesterday and picked up jackson, so he's back at her house now. probably eating like a horse to make up for his lack of eating here.

cold and drizzly today - i think i'll stay inside and do a little housework, read and quilt.

Punkin's the star at the CSU vet school today. the vet student who took care of him is using him for his case study to present to the school. i've asked if they will video it so we can post it here - would be a great educational piece on acromegaly & feline diabetes. they're going to try.

Hi guys .. oh how can you not hunt down punkin and just give that handsome boy lubs and kisses! :shock: He would be my first stop in the morning :-D I hope you get the video on punkin, that would be nice to watch .. have a great weekend!

I'm giving your DH a vote for Spectacular for letting you sleep in! Enjoy the rainy day....reading and quilting...sounds perfect!

:idea: the lantus is bad! we've been mulling over his higher numbers and realized it's more than a month old, well, only a month and 5 days, but still - we took it to colorado and twice on other jaunts, so it's been out of the fridge too much. the husband noticed tiny bubbles in it too - so we're voting this lantus off the island and a new bottle will be ready tomorrow.

they didn't get a video of the presentation, but he's sending me his powerpoint. the vet said he did a "fabulous" job presenting. i'm just happy to have a class of upcoming vets get educated about feline diabetes and acromegaly.
 
I'm sorry to hear that the insulin's bad. At least you know the cause of why his #s are rising instead of going down like they need to be doing. Nice catch! Hopefully, the new insulin will do its job and bring him down now.

Congratulations on the vets learning more about FD and acro! That's awesome news!!!
