Hello All,

You may or may not know/remember me. Marco and I have been around here for a while and I owe everything to this board. So anytime I have a concern I come here, to the most knowledgeable and caring people I know.

Well... here I am again. Mr. Marco seems to have lost a lot of weight. At first I thought I was just being paranoid... but when I pick him up he is so light. He maybe weighs about 6-8lbs?

He started to poo outside of the litter box. Now it has led to him using it in our living room. Most of the time it is nice and solid but about a week ago it was just liquid drops. He seemed to be constipated and the only thing coming out was liquid. He then proceeded to vomit.

We have come home a couple times to vomit and I usually have to give his paws a bath as when he vomits it is "violent" it throws his body forward and then back. Upon coming back it gets on his paws.

Marco has been getting 1/4tsp of Miralax twice a day. He eats the FF Classic Chicken Feast only. He was eating the FF Classic Chicken & Beef, I thought that was giving him problems so I stopped it.

He gets water in his food, and drinks from the fountain. No more than usual.

He has slowed down quite a bit. He used to take his toys all over the house and then meow "look at me look at me" and it's been about a month since he has done that.

Thoughts?? We are trying to avoid the vettybean as that can be very costly... :YMSIGH:

Please Note: Marco has been off the juice again for a few months. :) and his numbers check out fine...

Unfortunately, I think this is a vet visit. Repeated vomiting and straining at the box can be indicative of a problem. He could be severely constipated or there may be other bowel issues that only an x-ray can determine.

awww .. I'm sorry marco isn't feeling good .. mocha feels bad for him too  I agree with sienne .. a vet visit might be the best way to get marco feeling good again .. I know they can be pricey, but you certainly don't want to let a small problem turn into a big one .. thoughts and prayers from us!

Wishing you The Best (((Celia and Marco))). J.D. was having some poo issues too (diarreha and vomit all over the house one day, and then constipation (and the waiting), and then poo outside of the box) for a few months. We went to the vet and had an exam and a poo test for parasites, and got a prescription for Adequan because I think J.D. has a little arthristis (cost $102.00 including the first injection of Adequan, which I now inject by myself). I hope Marco's issue is as easily solved. Hugs again, from us, and all paws crossed.
