Zoe is having a difficult time......as soon as the bupe starts to wear off, she starts making trips back and forth to the litterbox and dribbling on the floor. Her bloodwork came back and everything is NORMAL...all kidney and liver values were perfect. Even her BG at the vets office was excellant....76!!! She is lovey, purry and playful until about 7 hours after her pain meds then she starts with the multiple trips to the litterbox. She is getting Bupe every 8 hours.......I don't know what else to do.

Her bg numbers are higher, because I shot a BCS dose (1.5 units) for both shots yesterday as I wasn't sure if she would eat for me....her appetite is a little down. She ate a little better today so I went back to almost her full dose. Sticking with 2.0 units

Poor Baby. Maybe you just have to keep giving the Bupe till the infection/inflamation clears up. I have no experience with this sort of thing though. On the positive side- 1. The bupe is working and Zoe is having lots of pain free time and 2. her BG numbers are GREAT!!!

Have you tried Rescue Remedy? Until we got Gracie detoxed, I used bupe for pain and Rescue Remedy....the kind made for pets with no alcohol. Liberally.....like 4-5 drops every few hours.

Sending healing vines for her...glad the bloodwork is good.
