Good morning LL! It's been a sad week here in LL with the passing of Teddi, Tableau, and Boris. Our hearts break for Marjorie and Mike, Emily, and Patti, and please know we are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We are also sending healing vines and positive energy to all the ailing kitties and beans who need them, and our deepest sympathies to Celi for the loss of her aunt.
Today is Muffin's 11 month OTJ annifursary, and she gave a most beautiful 56 this morning. She still remembers the testing routine, even though we only do it once a month now. She comes when she hears me getting the lancet, and sits quietly and patiently while I test her. I lubs you Muffin, you're such a doll! cat_pet_icon All in all Muffin is doing well. She's still hating her new baby brothers, and they do interfere with her routine, so I can't say I blame her. She doesn't get to play nearly as much as she'd like, because the little ones hear her and want to join in ohmygod_smile The mornings have always been our time - sitting at the computer, with her on my lap getting lovies. Lately Oscar has been interrupting even that, as he comes and puts his feet up on my knees, which makes Muffin angry and she moves to the top of the desk. She doesn't come snuggle at bedtime very often either, anymore, but I'm hoping that will change as the weather gets cooler. She's still up to her "feed me" antics of knocking everything around on the desk, but no broken dishes  I've noticed her being just the slightest bit wobbly again, so I may take her in soon and have her anal glands checked. But she is otherwise very healthy!
Kibby, Muffin's civie brother, has had 2 bouts of p'titis in the last few months, so I'm harboring a fear in the back of my mind of him getting FD at some point, but at least he's eating the proper fuds already, so I'm hoping he never gets to that point. He's healthy at the moment, and I just take everything one day at a time around here  Sam's appetite has been enormous lately, again making me fear FD (she is Muffin's mother) but I've been watching her waistline, and she seems to gaining, not losing, so I think it's just the "winter's coming I need to put on weight" deal. She refuses to come in the house since the kittens got old enough to get around, so she's probably getting an earlier start than the others. Shnookie is doing wonderfully...last time he was weighed he was down to 21 lbs, so that's a whole pound lighter than his max weight! He really doesn't do diets well   Oscar and Cleetus are 5 1/2 months old now, they've been neutered, and they are just wild wonderful creatures  They are into everything, of course. The drooler just loves them and they love him. He thinks he finally has a pack, and doesn't seem to mind that it's of kittens  Oscar comes to me every morning between 5 and 6am and just gives me wonderful lovies, rubbing all over my face and curling up right by my head. Cleetus is definitely DS's cat, or should I say DS is definitely Cleetus' bean. It's odd for me to have a pet that I am not the #1 bean for, but I'm thrilled for DS to have this experience.
Anyway, sorry that got so long-winded. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
