It was under 400 when I talked to his vet earlier. He gets fed in 2 hours and gets his insulin then. He is getting increased to 1.5 at night.
At what level is it an emergency?
High glucose numbers are not an emergency unless you also have more than a trace of urine ketones or have a meter that tests for blood ketones and detects them.
