My Fridays this semester are probably the best they've ever been. I only have shop hours M-Th this semester, and on Friday I teach until 10 am, and then I have nothing scheduled. I can work on lesson plans, show specific things that only I can do, all without having to answer questions every few minutes. It's the best!Real Friday---LOL! My mom, sister, and I all call it 'useless meeting Friday' because we all have a bunch of useless meetings throughout the day- stupidest day to try to get people to focus and accomplish things- especially at 3pm! Hope you and Kit have a great weekend!
We're still trying. Facilities showed up and were all loud, making the kitty hide. And security brought us a carrier that might be saddest looking thing ever. And the security guy tried barking at the cat. So we sent them away, because they were loud, and are trying again. We really just wanted their ladders.Wwwwwooooow. I hope it comes out! What a strange place to get into. Think it's a stray? Hope it is in a good shape!
It probably knew you are a cat lady, Alicia! They always know.
Hope all goes well with the kitty, your office and everything there!![]()
Yeah, kitty's had a rough day. I ended up going back to campus around 830. The students thought the kitty had fallen down into a wall and was stuck. My friend was pretty sure she heard him climbing up the wall of her office earlier today. What she and I think is the kitty was overstimulated by everything happening, and instead of sitting quietly in the two offices so the kitty could calm down and then maybe come out, the students tried to be proactive. And I get it, it's distressing that there's a cat caught in the walls/ceiling. He ate some food this afternoon, so we know he at least at some. We sent the students home and I came back home really quickly at 10 to grab a litter box - our plan was to put all ceiling tiles back up, and only leave the vent in my office open. There's a cabinet under the vent with food and water on it. Then there's bookcases and other things kitty can traverse to get to the floor, and there's also food and water on a lower level for him to eat. By the time I got back around 1030, he was no longer in the wall, but was back at the vent above my office. My friend had killed all the lights and was just hanging out in my dark office. So we decided we would let him come out on his own once he's settled, and I'll check my office in the morning. And we'll go from there. Security has instructions that if they see the cat in the office, just leave it, and I'll handle it. We have someone to foster it, and I don't want them to try to take it to a shelter or anything.Poor cat. I hope the students can get it today. I hope Kit comes back down soon.![]()
