Everything is totally the same. Back to normal schedule, normal foods. We added fluoxetine on 10/23 - that's the only different thing.Has anything changed? Is she eating okay? Different food?![]()

I do mean 9/23! Should she still be bouncing? Greens aren't new for her.I'm not sure. Maybe it's just a blip and she'll come back down. By the way, I think you mean 9/23.![]()
I also feel like she's gained weight. Not sure why since her food intake hasn't really changed. I'm going to weigh her today. Her belly is really round like a water balloon. We've had the vet check her out before for her belly and they think she is Ok, but she's definitely rounder than usual. It's possible she could still be bouncing, but I would think she would have cleared it by now. However cats can just suddenly bounce after they've been in good numbers for a while. I hope she comes back down today.
Probably just bouncing. Hopefully, you'll get green again today. What's happening here?!
Is her belly hard?I'm going to weigh her today. Her belly is really round like a water balloon. We've had the vet check her out before for her belly and they think she is Ok, but she's definitely rounder than usual.
It feels like a balloon, a little hard, but with give. The vet did an ultrasound a few months back thinking maybe she had fluid building up but there wasn't anything she could see. She also said that some diabetic cats have muscle loss and we might just be feeling that around her belly so it feels a little more rigid than a normal cat. What do you think?
I don't have the labs but I could get the recent ones. Anything specific to look for? Jill's eating well, very well - no change there. I didn't realize fluoxetine wasn't intended for diabetics and could have interaction with insulin. Has anyone found that to be true?Debra, do you have labs for her? Is she eating well? I wonder if fluoxetine is the problem . https://www.wedgewoodpharmacy.com/l...monographs/fluoxetine-for-veterinary-use.html
The first reason not to give it is diabetes but I don’t see why.
This page says: Insulin requirements may change when taking fluoxetine.I would ask a veterinary pharmacist. Maybe contact Wedgewood?
