That's probably the Miralax. Hopefully things are starting to move. Did she have a bowel movement yesterday?

Doesn’t look like it.


Anyway my phone died so her alarm didn’t go off (could’ve sworn it was plugged in ) now she has bounced HI and her shot was late by +13.75

it took me ages to get any blood from her ear. The room is a little chilly but it’s usually not so difficult.

I noticed she is drinking some water on her own. She turns her nose up at food but maybe because what I am presently offering is also syringe food.

Her weight is down to 2.35kg. (Less than 5 & 1/2 pounds) Guys, on 8/31 she was over 6 lbs at the vet!

Is this a losing battle? Ugh, I just don’t know anymore. She needs food and fluids and I can’t seem to get enough into her it to make her body work.

Alice has had two hard little lumps in her side right here. I noticed them a couple days ago I think and they are still there. (Between my thumb and index finger/towards the right)

Feels more like waste than anything else, and the location makes sense for that. Could she have a blockage? She had 1/8tsp miralax last night and no bowel movement yet and I did get fluids in and a fair amount of syringed food.
I am so sick of taking her to the vet. Because she is sick of it. I’m clocking a visit like once a week practically. Well, 4 visits from 8/31 on.

If she hasn’t pooped by tomorrow should I get her abdomen checked? The second vet office I went to to get her urine C&S, that vet asked if she had been pooping because he said he could feel it in there. I explained she had had some diarrhea and then a couple little chunks at the time. We didn’t address it further.


I’m also having a civvie cat pee problem around the house now.

I ran out awhile back. I just found some finally and got it in my grocery order but forgot to add it to this can I blended up. About how much is good to add to a 6.5 oz can? Since we are syringing everything through the blender all together.

eta just saw you asked about the miralax or pumpkin, not just pumpkin, we just started her back on miralax with some suspected constipation 2-3 days ago. I had discontinued its daily use when she cropped up with advanced kidney disease, knowing that it too pulls fluids from your body.... now we are making sure she gets at least 100mL subq before she can have some for the day.

When I've given pumpkin to Furball, I've added a teaspoon to her food each time. Sending prayers.

She’s up at +2 to 425. She is struggling to pass a bowel movement for awhile now. Have given her antibiotic, Cerenia and Mirataz for the day, I am working slowly on syringing the 1/8 tsp miralax with some water, but she has had probably at least half of it by now. She had ondansetron in the afternoon. LRS 90mL subq and going to give more as soon as I am up from my nap. She may have had a bowel movement (but I left the door open and maybe a civvie cat snuck in... probably not) because I don’t feel the same lump in the same spot in her GI tract, but she is still uncomfortable and struggling to pass something more.

anything else? She has had little more than an ounce of food today but she is so backed up I’m afraid to make her sick and her belly never feels empty when I palpate. So I’ve been going very slow.

because she is running so high and because I can’t really feed much right now due to her stuffed up body, I’m going to try and get a good sleep in the middle of the cycle. I hope she surfs safely. I don’t think there’s anything I can do for her right now unless I stay up all night again syringing food or water or meds every hour.
