Happy Halloween!!

I'm getting a bit of a late start this morning: busy cooking and getting ready for the beans' progressive Halloween party this evening.

Rusty is still a bit high from his bounce last night. But he's feeling great. Good test, shot, breakfast (2 sittings) and a taste of bison (I'm making bison chili as a main dish for the party and gave Rusty a little plain bison, microwaved. I'm not sure he knew what to think of it, but he ate it.). We went outside briefly and Rusty stalked squirrels. He didn't want to be brought in, but I had lots to do (cooking, cleaning), so he was carried inside. Edward is coming down with something, so I am prohibiting him from doing anything that might spread his germs around (therefore, more work for me!!)

Our progressive potluck party: appetizers (at our house); soup and salad; main dishes; desserts, followed by Mexican Train Dominoes. Most of us will wear some kind of costume.

Back later with a +5 (didn't get any numbers other than AMPS this morning).

Yo kitties! I'm getting my costume ready for the party and will be waiting for the progressive bus. Everything is set up and ready at Camp Stu for the midnight feast. It's going to be a wonderful night. I can't wait to see all of our recent GA pals through the thin veil, especially my friend Ted. He'll be enjoying Chef Stu's cooking along with Bear Man and all the others. See you later,

Hi guys and happy halloween! Still a little high for rusty this morning but not too shabby! How nice rusty got a new little treat today .. treats for everyone on halloween, right? Sounds like quite the party at your place tonight .. Hope you guys have a great time tonight and that Edward doesn't come down with anything to rough ..

WOW - busy day for you! it all sound like so much fun - I remember when you did this last year, what a good time everyone had. and the costumes!

Nice on the Bison - I can somehow see Rusty's reaction: the look, the pause, the sniff, the well: why not eat it. Good job Rusty!!! :cool: :cool: Ok Rusty - as a reward for such a great treat, being on the greens, OK?

So glad to see such a low bounce number for Rusty!! Way to go big guy!!!

Oh the party sounds like so much fun and I bet your kitchen smells great!! I sure hope Edward feels better and can make the party!! Bummer that he should wake up sick. Have a great day and fun at the party and Tobey cannot wait to show you his costume (see it on our condo). :lol: :lol: :lol:

Rusty...we gots our costumes ready and we been catching lizards and quails!! Did you see Mannie's menu??? WOW!!! We are excited about seeing all the GAs too...Teddi Bear, Stu, Bear Man, Emily, Teddy....the list is too long!! But we love and miss them all. And Moonie has very special songs!!! See you soon!

It's me, Pinkerton. Do you remember me? We met when you were staying up here at my place last year. We had that chat under the door, remember?

I'm alllowed to come and go all I want now, so I was thinking that I might come on down to your place to, you know, see my old buddies through that veil thing.

Would that be OK?

Oh, YES! Of course you can come to the party. The veil is at it's thinnest on Halloween and we'll be able to see all of our beloved GAs. I can't wait to see Ted and Miss Emily. I didn't really get to know Bear Man or Stu, but I feel the connection. The bus will drop by your place and pick you up. See ya later!

Linda, I am so glad to see you on the board on this most magical of nights. I have been thinking of you a lot and hope that you are getting along OK. I'll be e mailing you soon. It would be great if we could get together sometime this fall or winter (or spring or summer). Happy Halloween! I'm glad Pinky is coming to the party.

Looks like Rusty has himself in a tizzy (number wise) for the big party tonight. Rusty, come back to your nicer numbers tomorrow K? Hope you enjoyed your progressive dinner. Sounds great please update.

Glad to hear Rusty is feeling good. I bet he is excited for the big party and your kitchen smells wonderful!! What a magical night for all the kitties. Thank you for having them.could you send a bowl of the bison chili home with Tarragon? It's my favorite. :-D Hope Edward feels better and you have a wonderful night!

Nooooo, not a furshot on the night of the party! I hope Edward doesn't have what we got , but at least it is of fairly short duration. Rusty, get the soup on for your bean!!!

Hi again, everyone,
The beans' party was great. Didn't have time to get pictures of the crowd, however. Some people took a few pics, though, so maybe later. Costumes ranged from a flamingo, to 2 Hershey's kisses (garbage bags + tinfoil). We had at least 5 witches and a zombie, a clown, a baker, a deep-sea diver, and a fisherwoman. All in all, we had about 18 people. Rusty was perfect during the beans' party. He got his test while all those folks were milling around, and then his shot and dinner right in the middle of the party. What a terrific cat!
He's at Camp Stu with all his friends now and I hope I'll be able to tell you something tomorrow about the midnight feast and the thin veil and the GAs' party on the other side of the veil. It is a foggy night here with the crescent moon emerging from the mist. No snow here (too far north; no snow at Camp Stu, either).

p.s. Great pic of the Laird, Ann! The fur shot (if it was one) was this morning. But I'm beginning to think that the higher numbers are just a continuation of the bounce from last evening. They are all in the flat yellow range.
 
Hi Ella. Looks like Rusty is a bit over excited about the party. He'll come back down tomorrow I'm sure.

ROcky and Malachi should have caught up with all the other kitties by now. They wouldn't miss this party for the world. They both are so looking forward to seeing Tori and TIga (T&T) again. If only it worked that way for the Beans too. I bet Chef Stu has been cooking up a storm.

YIKES!!! Moonie called from the Party--It was so so beautiful & the songs could be heard from the earth to the Stars!!! Stu was there in all his Glory, with all the other GA's--I t was as always a Magical Night!!!
Rusty & Moonie lead the singing and moved the whole crowd with Love on Both sides of the Veil!!

Hugs & Love from us --sorry I missed you today & Hope Ed feels better tomorrow--I have a small throat thing going on too--XOXOX
