Yesterday, not well, started ABs.

Yesterday recap:
AMPS: 264 (too much cypro, ate on own but WIRED)
+1: 333
+8.5: 278 (vet visit, dx w/p'titis, penecillin shot)
PMPS: 313 (syringe fed throughout evening ~ no appy)
+3: 238 (ate on her own!)
+6: 212

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

I'm happy to report that Ripley is FEELING BETTER this morning!
This morning she is perky, squawky, and followed me around during our AM routine, hungry! :-D :-D :-D :-D
She followed me as I fed civvie Smokey (Ripley always hopes I accidentally trip and spill Smokey's Fancy Feast into Ripley's mouth), then once Smokey was eating, Ripley used the LB (#1 only, neg. ketones ~ no poo in a couple of days, but hasn't been eating 'bulky' food, either), then she went to her testing spot and told me she was ready for her test and treat. And she ate 2T of food on her own. I gave her Pepcid this morning, but no need for cypro. And she has a blue preshot # :-D

I don't want to jinx anything, for I know she's still healing, and there'll likely be more ups and downs, but I just want to flip_cat !

Oh, and because she's feeling better, she wanted to model her new Halloween hat:

I had made her hat right before she got sick, but didn't want to take a pic until she was feeling better. I assumed I'd be posting a pic of her donning her Halloween hat sometime in November ~ but here she is, on Halloween! She looks so wide-eyed and perky! Normal! She is READY for the Halloween Party tonight with all of her friends! :-D

I wish everyone a safe and fun Halloween! Give your kitties scritches from us, and yourselves hugs from us as well :YMHUG:

AWESOME WCR!! This has made my morning. It is so great to read she is eating on her own. and is feeling better. I'm sorry I missed so much of what went down yesterday - just one of those days here. Bummer on the p'titis DX, but she seems to be responding well to treatment. Keep on truckin' Ripley.

Love the photo, and the hat. Very cool that Ripley will party with the kitties tonight. :cool: You have fun Ripley.

Hi Josie, what a great report on little Ripley today. I love her Halloween costume and that look....wonder what she's thinking. She looks like she's feeling better. Keeping the prayers and vines for more recovery and lots of partying tonight.

She still seems to be feeling ok.
Just got home from work and found her sleeping on my bed. It's nice to see that she got off her rocking chair :smile: .
And she ate a shrimp treat after her test a few minutes ago. That's a very good sign :-D .

She is resting up for the par-tay... it's her first LL Halloween Party!

PS: Wendy, I was thinking the same thing: the "happy girl" was Ripley, but maybe definitely me, also :-D And did you hear me jumping on my bed, too? It's how I woke up DH this morning w/ the good news about Ripples :lol: :lol: :lol: .

Well, Ripley is back to feeling punk ~ but not as bad as she seemed yesterday and tues.
She ate on her own right before her insulin shot tonight (so I don't think she's nauseous), then stopped and lost that sparkle in her eyes. She's sleeping now.
I gave her a little bit of Tramadol, in case she's feeling uncomfortable, and a tiny sliver of cypro.
When DH gets home, we'll do fluids ~ hopefully that will help.
Taking it hour by hour...

Sending vines and prayers right back at you guys. She did eat on her own, and her numbers are coming down...two very good signs!
