I used my new bottle of strips today and the code that usually comes up on my meter is f-3 today it came up f-4 but it is the code on the new bottle so thats ok right?? (I couldnt find my mannual)
Milo's +12 201

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

If the code on the bottle matches the code on the meter, then that sounds correct.
I have to manually change the code in my One Touch to match the code on the test strip bottle. The Relion meter sounds like it does it automatically for you.

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

That's about as close to blue as it gets! You've one a great job steering Milo through those low numbers the last couple of days!

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

Hi guys .. yay, a question I can answer  Yes, as long as the code on the meter matches the test bottle for the relion, you are good to go .. And nice job last night! Sunny yellow with a tinge of blue to start the day .. have a great day guys!

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

Looks like you got an answer- I had that issue at first too... Now I've gotten all kinds of codes- F-2, F-3, F-4. I don't think I've gotten an F-1 though!
It's kind of like bingo for me now!

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

Wow...that sounds complicated!!! I just always buy the same code strips but my meter reads the code right off the bat.

I also hope you got some sleep....Milo kept you busy yesterday. Great job!!

Happy Halloween!!

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

Hello!

wow, I missed all the excitement last night! What a great weekend you and Milo had!
You handled it well and gained lot's of valuable data and experience. Great job!

Not a bad AMPS considering t he BCS last night. . .

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

The Relion meters read the code from the strip itself which should match the code on the outside the container. That's the 'F-#' on the back of the strip box. If that code doesn't match, there's potential that:

a) someone has tampered with the container
b) someone put the wrong strips in the container at mfg

It's really just another safety check....

Re: 10/31 Milo +12 201 RelioOn Strips question

Your doing a great job with Milo! I agree with everyone's answer to your meter question. I used a Relion meter and it automatically reads the code on the strip. They just have to match.

Keep up the good work.
