Happy Hallowe'en
Here is Eddie's story yesterday:
https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/10-30-eddie-amps-421-3-5-427-pmps-428.270240/
I am trying to get him to settle back into being home and a routine of food, medications, testing, etc. He is very suspicious. When I put his food down pre-shot (syringe on the counter) he starts eating but keeps stopping to look at me and I have to act as if I'm doing something else other than picking up the syringe and heading over to him. Of course, his reactions are linked to his being in hospital and being sedated more than once, so, of course, he thinks I'm up to something nefarious. I think he's also feeling the Prednisolone but will be on the higher dose for a limited time.
In the meantime, he has perked up considerably and does a walkabout in the house to pick out places where he choses to groom, sit, sleep, watch me, etc. I'm going to be increasing his does again in the next while, I'm sure and maybe his high BG is a setback but it's linked on the one hand to Prednisolone and on the other to whatever crazy dosing schedule he was on while in hospital.
One day at a time...
