All is well in CurryLand.

I did some reading on Flovent and increase blood glucose yesterday. So in people.....of course very little testing is done on cats....ugh....the flovent can increase blood glucose.....it won't increase it like oral meds...but it came get absorbed through the mouth......so given that piece of information coupled w/reducing her flovent for a 3 week period (at which time she needed less insulin) and then had to increase the flovent due to sx...coughing.....and then she needed an increase in insulin......I wonder if overall she will have a higher blood glucose reading than most kitties.....She will be on the Flovent the rest of her life and right now she is on the maximum dose.....


So a part of me is wondering.....if it may take her longer to get off the juice.....or perhaps she might just need to stay on it.....or she can get off the juice but might have a bit higher numbers than a "normal" kitty.

Anyone else have their cat on Flovent for asthma and have gotten them off the juice?

Two things I did differently....Gave shot more on the left side of the scruff....She kinda felt it too.....

And gave her the EVO 0% carb.....which she doesn't like...thought I'd give it another try since I have a million cans of the stuff...she ate about 2/3 of dinner and refused the EVO after the 59....so switched to FF 2% w/little gravy since her nadir is in another hour....

So the dramatic response was due to either new shot location or she is really carb sensitive....or of course something else. Ummmmm
