You and Shanga have been constantly in my thoughts over the past few days. You are such a beautiful, caring person and kitty momma...we all love how you're looking out for your dear Shanga. I'm also hoping that your visit to the new vet's tomorrow goes very well for you and Shanga. Please let us know how everything goes.

I have a question...

I kept reading about interferon after you warn me...

I decided to leave interferon but Shanga is the 6th day,( You know I give it for 7 days then stop 7 days and start again) It's the last day tomorrow then i will quit to use interferon.
But I really want to leave it tonight.... He has high blood sugar in the morning just because maybe I give him interferon very late at the night...
So If I would leave it tonight,Shanga would have any side effects?
Anyone knows about it????
 
Sorry not to be able to answer your question about Interferon, but I'll bump your condo to the top of the list to get some experienced eyes on it. Wishing you best of luck with the new vet tomorrow. You're doing a great job with Shanga.

I don't know anything about the inferon use either but I wanted to send you a big loooong hug. I hope you can get some rest. This stress is hard on your body. Take care of YOURSELF to take care of Shanga.

I'm thinking go ahead and give Shanga the last dose of interferon. I know nothing about stomatitis or interferon - it very well may be best.

I was reading your condo from yesterday and you mentioned Shanga was diagnosed with eosinophilic granuloma 7months ago. Is that the case?
Has Shanga been tested for FIV?

Regarding L-Lysine, I give it to all my kitties.
I first gave it to BK because I heard it was good for FIV+ kitties and my BK is FIV+ - FIV+ kitties are prone to mouth problems.
I also give all my cats this multivitamin each day -

Although I really can't prove it, I believe the supplements do them good. However they are not a replacement for medicines my cats may need.
Keep an open mind tomorrow about the interferon. See how the new vet thinks about what is going on in Shangas mouth and what she recommends.
No need to take immediate action on her recommendations, you can sleep on it if you want.

Remember, you are the potential customer - think of it as you interviewing her for a job. You want to see if you think/feel it would be good to hire her to care for Shanga; if she is someone you can at least work with.

Yes, Shanga has diagnosed with eosinophilic granuloma. But NO TEST, Vet just looked in his mouth and told me this.
But ofcourse when I came home, I started to research... I saw pictures and Vet wasnt right.. It seemed like stomatitis.
I changed the vet and he just looked to Shanga's mouth just for a sec... Believe me not more... NO TEST, NOTHING...
THEN he said Shanga had HERPES... and Gave him interferon. Funny huh?
I went to another vet... He didnt test. He said It was stomatitis. Because Shanga had low immune system...
I believe it, it is stomatitis. But I dont know what causes it...
He had treatment with steroids for months... But he just felt better for couple of days...
And as you see he had side effects of steroids...He has high blood sugar level....
I will be open the vet tomorrow. I will tell everything... How I am tired all about these... How I feel desperate most of the time...
I am gonna see tomorrow... I will write down everything here when I am back...
I ordered L-Lysine powder for cats from USA... I dont know if it works on Shanga. Because I am not sure if he has herpes or something...
