KT is in fine form, all 5 P's in place...well, one was in the lb... ;-) Not sure what's going on with him again - we're playing pogo stick over and over. He's right at that point in his numbers where he's not really overly hungry - his body is able to use all it's given correctly. Because of it, he doesn't eat nearly as much which causes the dose to be too high which then causes a bomb and a bounce. We struggle every time he hits this point. If I cut his dose, he'll sit in the 200's and sometimes hit low 300's so THAT isn't the answer. The colder it gets at night the less he eats as he hates cold, won't leave the heater to eat. It's not really cold in the rest of the house but colder than the bedroom where we all sleep. Wish I could find the answer to this conundrum!
We're down to only 2 pieces of roof panels left to install (plus trim) and carport will be done. We'll then attempt to move 'Red Racer' (71 Torino) to it's new home. It runs WONDERFUL but it has no brakes right now - have to replace some lines and can't afford it, carport got the $$ instead. We can creep it around the block, up the hill across the road to head the right direction...then down that hill and up the other hill into the carport. I'm going to put a landscape tie down where it needs to stop and hope it will be going slow enough to stop where we need it - if not, it'll catch in our chain link fence. We already decided we're going to cover that part of the fence with pads and cardboard just in case....better safe than sorry! Anything it does to the fence can easily be fixed...after all, we put up the fence too....
Scruffy (heart kitty) is doing great the last couple of days. He's keeping the fluid down more and eating better. He's decided he wants to change his bed - I have one of those fold up camping sling chairs in his room - I was going to move it so moved the legs closer together but didn't actually fold it up. It left a hanging 'hammock' which he discovered - it's just right for him to curl up inside and be cozy and warm. I lined it with flannel yesterday so it would be warmer.
Leo - you ought to SEE this beautiful cat! Oh I wish I could take pics. He's no longer skinny, even a bit 'chunky', his muscles are strong and full, his coat is shiny and soft and just glows. His color has deepened everywhere, he doesn't even look like the same cat that arrived here July 28th. He's growing like a weed, has almost grown as long as the crate he stayed in when he arrived. I couldn't use it for him to stay in like that now, he's too big! I introduced him to KT and Snow inside yesterday, things went well altho' I never let Leo get down. They just stared at each other - a month ago it was hisses instead. NICE!
Schniggles (rescued pug) is doing great and has discovered her 'bark' again. She doesn't bark just once, it's always 3 quick barks in a row. She's healthy, strong and a little goof. When I open her door, she runs in and throws herself over on her back so someone can scratch her belly - silly pug! She sits on everyone - just plain doesn't pay attention to where her body is when she's excited. KT gives her 'the look' and heads to the other end of the house - he doesn't like being sat on. She only weighs 11 pounds so it's not like it's a BIG thing, just a really noisy thing....
All other fuzzy feetz are going wonderful. I'm freezing my poor behind off...it's COLD here! I think we bypassed Fall completely. This week is supposed to be nicer - HOORAY!
BIG HUGE HUGS to all that visit today! Thoughts and prayers for all our kitties/goggies/beans caught in this storm.
