J.D. is blue today.

1st Breffis and 2nd Breffis have been eaten.
We just got back from a little outing, or walk outside.

Oh, it's nice and sunny, with snow and fallen branches everywhere. I thought I saw 50 to 60 mile and hour wind gusts on the weather channel this morning, but it's nice and calm right now. I think I also heard a low of 23 tonight? Whew!

I'm going to try taking my kitties out for another walk, while it's still sunny and nice outside...with a pocket of peanuts

Congrats on great numbers for J.D! Sympathies on nasty weather. I'm afraid I would be hiberating if I were you, not taking a nice walk.

J.D. followed me right through the snow, to this green grassy island below a tree. The snow was about 3 inches or so, and every other step, he sunk to his elbows. He followed me out through the snow again after a brief stay for eating grass.
Ginger was meowing at the edge of the snow, because she was afraid to cross the expanse of snow and couldn't get to us. I carried her on my shoulders to it, and put her down, and then went back to get J.D. again and carried him to the island of grass, again. It was sunny. Both of them followed me out the second time through the snow. I was proud of them both.

This is the tree across the street where I saw Mama the squirrel last night. I was standing right below the tree and I put some peanuts at the base of it. The bushes behind the tree are where I was watching the cardinals flying in and out and the doe was standing there staring at me while I called "Mama" and made kissing noises. This is the tree this morning.

Hi Dyana,

Nice blue for J.D. today. Love the story of your little walk with the kitties. Thats to bad on the tree. I went outside this morning and you'd swear it was January!

Have a nice night.

That's quite a tree picture, Dyana! This definitely was a rough storm...personally, I don't remember the area every being hit by such a damaging storm before. This had better not be any sort of sign about what we're in for this winter!

Geez that must have been some snow storm!! I don't think we have ever had a storm so bad that it peeled trees. I hope your momma squirrel made it thru the storm ok.

Love that you had to carry Ginger around outside in the snow, the things we do for our kitties!

Hopefully JD makes it down into some nice blues for you tonight.
