:oops: First time I've missed! We started out well today and Cole is very hungry!!! Actually was waiting for me on the couch where I test his BG - so he's getting used to the routine. A bit surprised at missing the shot - and not sure how much I missed - but following all the guidance on not doing anything more, just continue to test and will shoot at the usual time tonight.

Bummer! Fur shots happen. (all too often in my case). I blame the long hair. :p

At least you know Cole can get lower. A tip on last night - any time you see a large drop from PMPS to +2, it can signal a very active cycle. So it'd be worth setting an alarm for a couple hours later to test.

I didn't realize that - but now that you point it out and I look at the spreadsheet, I can see what you mean :eek: Good to know that even when he's been so high, that a drop like that is still significant. I guess as he gets lower, it gets even more important...

Now let's see how long this bounce lasts. Paws crossed that Cole doesn't hold out as long next time. :cool:

I've done fur shots before:facepalm:. Butters' fur is dense (and long, but I shave her, lol) and pushing the needle through her fur feels eerily similar to pushing it through her skin. I started holding a small flashlight in my mouth so I can see exactly what I'm doing when her fur is longer. A trick I learned from Aleluia Grugru and Minnie.

Someone recently suggested to me to purchase one of those small led lights that strap to your forehead. You can get them at Walmart from between $7 - $15. It has been great. I can easily see the blood when I test him. My baby got a fur shot tonight also. I had an extremely bad day today and that just topped it off.
