Thanks Tamara and Carla for the visits after I went ni ni.
Morning ~O) ~O) ~O) I know Mannie has some good strong coffee on tap for all of us today! I cannot believe Maggie was in the pink earlier. I tested twice. I wonder if the heat got to my strips and they're off a bit. I have the a/c on all day, but every once in a while I'll turn it off thinking I won't need it, and the air just gets stuffy in a matter of minutes, so back on with the a/c. It's a little wall a/c and very noisy but sure does the job in keeping us cool, so we'll endure the noise.

Maggie's all purry in spite of the high yellow. Could it be the SD Friskies T&G causing a spike? I'll try less and more of a lower carb! She loves the Friskies, so I don't want to deny her, and it meets the phosphorus levels. Mags has good appy and is on her chair by the patio staring out the screen hoping to see some of Zener's friends, Mr. Raccoon and Mr. Skunk! So far no sightings! TWC says 10 degrees cooler today! :-D I need to get out early and run some errands and hopefully meet a friend for coffee if Maggie permits. Have a nice Tuesday.

Come on down Maggie! Pink is definitely not your color. I really think the heat messes with them, even though they are indoors. Maybe it is the AC running all the time, but Tarragon ran higher when it was so hot here this summer. Great to hear that she is happy anyway. I'm glad she is keep you safe. We have a mama possum I can send your way. She is driving Charlie crazy.

10 degrees is a big help. Have a great day Ann!

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298

Miss Maggie...watcha doing all the way up there? I'm sure she'll come back down soon, Ann. We're only 2 meals in with the Friskies T&G/Wellness mix, but Trix seems to be quite pleased about it. After a few days of this, I think I'm going to swap out the Wellness for the BG Turkey and see how that goes. The BG Turkey as a couple things going for it: it's lower carb than Wellness, it's lower phosphorous than Wellness, and - basically - it's not Wellness. I still want to get the Eukanuba, too...it only has 1 carb, but it's phosphorous was more like Wellness. That's not so much of an issue with Trix right now (although keeping her phosphorous down could help prevent it from becoming an issue), but it is more of an issue with Mario. I'm really trying to get everyone on as similar of a diet as possible...

Anyway...have a great day!!

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) and this from Mannie, who says you need his very special WPM, with a touch or caramel. from Mannie ----> ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O)

Maggie girl, pink? so not your color! It is good to see you have come down some. Blues Maggie, OK? hear Vyktor likes blues.... :-D

Good luck with the fuds. WE are still on the Wellness here, and I suppose I really need to rethink that. I wish he liked the Merrick BG, but it only goes so far, then it's a no go. I'm glad though that Maggie has found one that she likes. always a plus.

Very nice on Maggie's yard duties. I often wonder what they are looking at out there when we see nothing. LOL: maybe that is the point.

enjoy your day today - YAY on the 10 degrees cooler, and I hope you are able to meet with your friend. Enjoy your day today Ann.

No stinkie pinkie Maggie.
You are skirting that issue too closely. Pink skirt and all...
Slide down today!
Have a good visit.

Well, I gave Maggie a poke break and glad I did, as she's still yellow! I just turned on the a/c for her.

Hi Melissa, I know with the pink, so not her color. I agree with the heat affecting them. Maggie says send Mama Possum over to her yard! :-D Yes! :-D

Amy, it looks like we are on the same wave with the fuds. I'll stick with the Friskies and find a lower carb, such as the Merrick Turkey to mix in and watch her numbers.

Thanks Jane, and hoping for lower numbers, too. Every time I try a new food, her numbers change until she gets used to it. Also her constipation plays into her high numbers.

Hi Michelle and thank you Mannie, for my own special WPM with a touch of caramel. How did you know I love the caramel touch! Thank goodness our heat wave is breaking. Maggie can state out at the yard for the longest time. She must see some little criters out there. Sometimes I forget I have it open for the screen and leave for another room. There's a giant raccoon lurking around, and he could very easily claw his way inside!

Hi Rhiannon, thanks for stopping by; I need to visit and see how your daughter is today. I hope Mags reads her condo and comes down.

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298; +4 229

Maggie, don't listen to Tess. Pink is not a fashion statement! kepp coming down. Now Blue! There is a color you want to be seen in.

Good luck on the fuds dance. I can't get Tess to eat straight Merrick BG either. Mixing works though.

We're 20º cooler today and the marine layer is back, it feels soooooooo good. I hope the cooling trend reaches you soon. And ye, I'm hoping the wether was effecting Tess's numbers, but she got an increase anyway!

Hi guys,

Keep coming back down, Maggie!

Ann, did you see in the new food list that FF T&G is listed as 3% carbs? That's what it used to be listed as. I know that it is contrary to our experience with FF T&G, but there you are! Anyway, we are still on mostly Wellness (turkey; chicken). Rusty shows some interest in Merrick BG turkey (I still have many cans from the last time we tried it), but if offered in the same dish with the Wellness, he eats the Wellness first and only eats the BG after all the Wellness is gone! At least he eats it (and he is a free-feeder). I am trying not to go overboard with trying new foods. Rusty, like most cats, is a creature of habit and he doesn't like change. So I am concentrating on making sure he has enough water in his food, because he very rarely drinks water from his bowls or from his fountain. Fortunately we do not have the phospherous issue.

Have a fine day, and keep cool!!

Ella & Rusty

Not looking too good for Maggie leaving the yellows! I think no more SD Friskies T&G, or very little! I do reemember the last time I used it, there was a spike, but I thought I'd give it a try! I should be adding a drop, but tomorrow I need to leave by 8:30 am for an appt, so I'll wait til I'll be home longer in the morning.

Hi Devon, I was shocked, too, to see Maggie on the pink floor. I'm afraid it may be the Special Diet Friskies T&G. While it is okay in Phosphorus, it's a little too high in carbs (5 carbs), and Maggie being carb sensitive needs less carbs.

Ella, I do notice when I give Maggie FF T&G when she is low, it doesn't cause a spike as it had in the past. I'll have to check the phosphorus in it.

Hi Ann & Tess, I guess Maggie wanted to join Tess on the pink floor, but I bet by now Tess is blue. I just tried mixing some BG Merrick in with the Wellness, and it looks like she ate part of it! It kind of gets smashed down on the dish it's so soft!

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298; +4 229; PMPS 252

Oh, these girls. I'm not sure if it's the fuds or what, since Trix did come down nicely for AMPS, and it's only her second cycle on the T&G...but, we'll see! Hopefully they'll both bring it down this evening.

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298; +4 229; PMPS 252

You're both doing a wonderful job. Hoping for some nicer #s for you both tomorrow, and every day. Have a good evening!

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298; +4 229; PMPS 252

It looks like Maggie has joined Furball on the yellow floor for the day. I hope she comes down for you soon.

Re: 10/3 Maggie +11 306; AMPS 298; +4 229; PMPS 252

I'm giving Maggie a poke break for another hour. She's feeling a little off today. I found some pukus that's semi dried up, so she must have vomited earlier in the day. I gave her a Pepcid.

Hi Amy, I'll be interested in what Trixie does tonight.

Thanks Angela & Blackie, I hope tomorrow she gets back to some blues.

Hi Carla, I'm glad Maggie is leeping Furball company and hope they both come down together, too! :-D

Awe, sorry to hear Maggie is not feeling like her usual self. Perhaps the new diet is making her tummy feel a bit off. I hope she feels better soon:)

Nice, we're back to blue!

Thanks Tamara, I think maybe it was the food change that upset her tummy. The Pepcid helped and she ate some food. After I tested, she asked for her bf treat, and I sneaked in some Miralax. Hope she will surf the blues tonight.

Look at that Maggie went to the Blue Floor!!!!
Seems like we are all fighting the Food Fight with the cats & they are winning
I feel happier feeding her chicken that I have made for her sometimes, as I know she enjoys that--
I also stick pieces into her cat food sticking up so when she goes to get a piece, out comes cat food on the other end, & she ultimately eats some cat food too ;-)
She probably has it figured out & just does it for me confused_cat
Hope you have success with your sweet girl--Have a good Ni Ni~~ Love & Hugs from us!
