10/3 Jack: 313@AMPS, day 7 of 6.5u

THIS CAT! ARRGH!!! We have had blue, yellow, pink, and red as AMPS numbers on this dose. The frustration is driving me crazy. I'll be working from home all day tomorrow so increasing dose tomorrow morning, just debating between 6.75 and 7u. Technically we should go to 7units, but a piece of me wants to try 6.75...the stupid, hopeful piece.... not the realistic, your cat is a mongrel who doesn't eat properly piece.

And in other super-duper maddening and infuriating news, the :spam::spam::spam::spam::spam::spam: vet clinic finally returned my call from last week about Pumpkin's allergy test results.....THEY NEVER RAN THE :spam::spam::spam::spam::spam: TEST!! I'm sitting around waiting for results for 3 weeks, giving this cat antihistamines and steroids, and there was never any test. I'm :spam::spam::spam::spam: LIVID! Now I need to take him back to the vet (hates to travel), pay for another visit, pay for another blood draw, pay for another round of 'medical waste', and then WAIT.....AGAIN! :spam::spam::spam::spam::spam::spam: AAARRGGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a screw up :mad::mad::mad: You shouldn't have to pay for another visit or test! If anything, they should PAY YOU!
That's so maddening. I am so sorry for you and Pumpkin, poor thing.

I'll tag Angela (@Angela & Cleo) and Bhooma (@Bandit's Mom) to see what they say about the amount of increase for Jack.
Hope Jack will really work on this increase!

Oh Christin, I'm so sorry to hear about this ordeal with the vet. It's infuriating. Really! I know how expensive it can get but also the hustle and hustling Pumpkin :banghead::banghead::banghead: Is there a way that you don't pay for the visit since it's their bloody fault ?!

Hi Christine, good luck with the increase tomorrow morning, no way would I pay for anything for Pumpkin, no way, someone screwed up. Tell them you feel you shouldn't have to pay for anything, what do they think you're made of money.

THANK YOU ALL for putting up with my rant today @Diane Tyler's Mom , @Fistuk & Shelly, @Mikanmama ....I'm so very -very -very frustrated, not only with the Pumpkin situation but with Jack as well. I am waiting to calm down before calling for another appointment. I do plan on telling them I'm not paying for the visit, blood draw fees, etc. but I did look at the invoice, and the allergy panel isn't on it. I paid one big bill for him and for all the stuff they did for Sage including the euthanasia and cremation, so when they gave me the $1800 bill I honestly didn't look at the itemization, I just gave them my credit card. I guess it's partly my fault for not looking, but I told the receptionist, the technician, and the vet what I wanted done, and why, and no one argued, everyone agreed, so I really don't know where the disconnect came from. Like I said, I'm giving myself a few days to calm down, then I'll look at my calendar and work schedule and see what I can figure out. Thanks, Looking at his numbers and his ridiculous eating habits, I think I'm just going to 7 units in the morning. I can always reduce if necessary, and I'll be home all day to monitor. THanks again. :bighug:

You can rant all you want to , yes wait and calm down before you make the next appointment. I'm not coming to Pennsylvania to bail you out of jail :p
I know how frustrated you are with Jack's eating habits. I wish he wasn't like that .

Christine, I would fight paying for it if they lost the sample and never did anything, that's utter bull$hit.
