Cleo 9/28 Condo

Hi there again. I don't know what the heck is going on with Cleo's numbers. This morning she was super high. This evening she was at 99 at shot time! I went ahead and shot as we've stalled in the past to no great effect.

WCR: Cleo's a mess right now, and so am I. For whatever reason, the urine scald issue popped back up, so we're washing her hind end and slathering her with neosporin. She doesn't like this though, and apparently in an attempt to lick herself clean, she's licked up her tail about 2 inches so much that it's raw. Putting neosporin on that too, but I'm at a loss of what to do. Wonder if I should get a cone of shame to keep her from licking?

In addition, I thought we had finally beaten the flea problem -- but they're back again! This weekend we'll be doing Frontline, Capstar, and bombing the house all at once... if that doesn't get rid of it, I think I'm going to cry.

It sounds hugely frustrating. Poor Cleo and poor you!

Let's see what Cleo does tonight. If the numbers look pretty much the same as they've been, I'd be thinking about an increase.

Even with a PMPS of only 99? I had to put on my big girl pants to even shoot at 99

+2 is 93. I strongly suspect I'm in for a rocky time of it tonight....

That's not a big drop. But I'd definitely be watching for a while longer to see where she is going.

I didn't think it was good for them to lick up the neosporin.
What does your vet recommend for this scald situation?

The fleas are definitely not going to help that so it's a good thing you are going so aggressive on getting rid of them.

The vet was the one who recommended the neosporin... hopefully it's ok. Just having it on for a few nights I can see the skin is pink instead of red, so it's helping.

And yes, checking Cleo every hour and keeping an eye on her. So far holding stable at high greens, which is amazing for her, so very happy about that!
