I'm really happy with this mornings number. Calistica had a good night. We kept feeding her tiny amounts every hour until 1AM. She got no more cals than she normally does. Ray simply split her cals into tiny portions. She is on kitty weight watchers so every meal is weighed. This way she doesn't get more than she should. she was up before 4AM waiting for her breakfast!

Thank you all for being there for us last night. I am excited about all the learning I did last night. I have created a Word file to keep all this important info too.
Marge, thanks for your definitions of a second dip, a dropping number, stalling. You explained it in a way that made perfect sense to me!
You asked if the Halo chicken was a meal or a snack. It is simply a tiny snack as a reward for letting us poke her ear. I take a very small chunk and make it into powder. This way I only need to give her a tiny amount as a little goes a long way. So it seems it won't affect her numbers.
Also, good advice on asking for help the next time I get a PS number I'm not comfortable with. You better believe I'll ask for help and I'll stall while the help arrives!

Thank you so much Georgia, Linda and Jill! The direction I got from the group totally helped us into steering the situation in the right direction.
Jill, I think we'll be testing her almost every hour today! Now I'm really curious to see what her BG decides to do today.

Thanks Celi and Mares. she's had a great day. I intended to do the curve tomorrow but today turned out to be the day. Her nadir was at +6. Last Sunday I did our first curve and her nadir that time was also at +6
We will check her more often tomorrow for sure.

Mares, I'm so glad the shampoo is helping Missy. I did a lot of research about acne treatment and the shampoo was the best thing I found.

Wow does this ever look like a typical lantus curve!!!! Lovely!! A little food spike at +2 and then down and then back up! WOOTTTT!!! It will be interesting to see if she gets a dip at PS.

So pretty flat from +10 to PS altho a tiny dip which could also be meter variance. Dips are like nadirs....they can change. So some days Calistica might get a dip, sometimes her nadir may be at +6; some days that might all be different. Fun, huh? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thanks Marje, I'm not sure if it is "fun" yet. I was definitely excited about testing her all day today. The PM poke produced a lot of blood and I was on the outer edge of her right ear. That kind of made not want to test her for a couple of hours. Now I'm looking forward to the 7PM value.
