Yesterday

I missed the morning log in. Super hectic madness here. I have one cat who has gone on an eating strike unless it is fish flavored food. I am trying to not give them fishy foods as much (mercury, etc), but he is holding fast. He ended up winning because I was going to be late for work and was afraid I'd miss my cage (I work underground).

Twice has decided this evening that he no longer eats turkey and giblets...sigh. He got the fish and the other guy ended up being forced to eat the turkey and gibs. (I was relentless). All the other cats are being sweet angels who eat whatever mommy puts down. Whew.

Sending healing vines and prayers to my many new friends out there, as well as the ones I am yet to meet.

Sounds like your kitties have pretty much completed your training :lol:

I know how you feel...Mine like the fishy flavors best too and I try to limit them...doesn't usually work..they're too good at driving me crazy with stories of starvation and abuse

Starvation and abuse indeed! I wish someone could please explain to me how cats will happily munch down the same flavored hard food day after day, year after year, with no complaints at all. But spoil them and change them over to the more pricey wet food, and BAM! Instant divas!! :lol: :lol: Oh brother :roll:

Jane, I work 3000 feet underground as an industrial electrician in a potash mine. We get there by going straight down in a 7-man cage lowered with ropes.

Thanks for checking in on us! So far it's been a nice calm evening. Everyone is sacked out, and one of the strays has decided that he also wants to be an indoor kitty :roll: Little stinker. He apparently thinks the tv is the coolest thing ever. Here's wishing you a great night with lots of furry snuggles to stay warm

Be strong Kim - you will eventually (I hope) win the fuds battle. :lol: My two are on raw food and the civie really prefers the red meat ones but I think he should eat poultry. Freeze dried chicken sprinkles have saved me many a time.

I hope Twice starts thinking about coming down sometime soon, or you're going to have to think about an increase again.

Interesting that you work in a mine. One of our other members (who doesn't post as much now), Tracy and Leo, lives in Saskatoon and she also works in the mines. Didn't realize there was a correlation between mining and diabetic cats in Saskatchewan. :lol:
