OK, I'm not going to change *anything* in terms of dosing until I get some control solution & test this meter. Hubs did Stinky's AMPS this morning since I've had a migraine all day & he neglected to tell me that it came up as 38! Which, there's no way it should've been that low after being 180 last night. Had I known it came up that low, I would've retested in 30 mins before feeding...but Hubs just went ahead & fed him. When I finally dragged my sorry butt out of bed several hours later, I freaked out & did a test, and he was at 144-which again-there's NO WAY he would be at if his AMPS had been 38. PMPS was 214, so I went ahead & gave .4 and am going to operate on the assumption that this morning's reading was an error. Hubs did tell me that after he fed Stinky this morning, Stinky was acting just fine & he even came back into the bedroom & hopped up onto the bed w/me for his morning nap. He's been in a great mood all day, laying in sunbeams & even letting me pet him a bit more than usual. I've tested myself before & it seemed accurate, but maybe I'll test myself again in the morning. Is it actually possible that the meter is right & there's this much variation in BG levels?
