Scratchie'smom

Yesterday

Morning all,

Uneventful day with his numbers. Acted ok, good LB, all P's in place and playing in the afternoon in the sun through the front door. Got grumpy on me last night and testing was impossible after the +2.5. Kept trying to bite me and scratch me so I decided he was annoyed with it all, and left him alone. He probably went a little lower last night, but I don't think by much based on his actions. He did sleep with me most of the night and went btb this morning. DH had to wake him up. Hope this bounce clears today....

Have you tried rattling the treat container/pkg as you are getting your meter ready? That seems to catch Shadow's attention and she
crosses her paws in anticipation of her treat. Especially since I'm so good at forgetting to give it to her....

Hope Scratchie gets some sliding action... just nothing too dramatic ... save that drama for mama!

You know, my cat is so different. He wants nothing to do with treats when it's testing time. I've tried and tried. Bought more this weekend and he just smells them and turns up his nose. I'll look for more this week but have packages of stuff all over..

I thought it would help DH with testing but that didn't work. Scratchie is really good for me with testing normally. There's been a few times he just heads downstairs and jumps on the couch without prompting as he knows it's 'time'. I think he's purred twice during it. Mostly he just lays there and wags his tail. Last night was weird, but he does do that once in a while. I just figured he didn't want to be messed with. The scars from starting the testing are just beginning to fade and go away. He has a great habit of latching onto a vein and that really smarts!!! He did that last night and my hand went numb, of course they go numb quite a bit anyway!! Hopefully he'll be better today for DH and for me when I get home from work.
He's such a Little stinker!! :lol:

Dang it. DH forgot to not feed Scratchie after 2:30 so I can get a good test. Think there is food in the +11, PMPS number.

Some days when Furball is high, I skip the before the bed test just to give her ear a break. Do you use Neosporin on Scratchie's ears? That really helps Furball's ear heal. Hopefully you'll see some lower numbers with Scratchie tomorrow.
 
Carla, I do too when Scratchie is high. I do use neosporin, last night he was just very tempermental. Not usually like that but he does do it sometimes!
