Yesterday's Condo

I didn't test overnight :roll: I slept :oops:

J.D. wanted to go outside right when we got up at AMPS because that's what he's used to. He didn't want his 1st Breffis until +1. I gave him his Pepcid and Ondansetron at AMPS. He has since asked to go down to the basement, and that is where he is currently hanging out.

So far it's windy and cold and a little rainy. I have my storm windows down on the 4 windows that have them and the sliding glass door has a checker board of masking tape on it.

J.D. is making his worried little chattering noises. The same noises he was making last night, when he kept leaving his deck and going out to the tree to chase the squirrel. He's normally pretty silent. But, once a blue moon he acts like he's gotten into the Mirtz.

He just ate his 2nd Breffis and because I told him what a good boy he was, he then chowed down on most of Ginger's uneaten 2nd Breffis, too. I think that's why he kept going back to the tree with the squirrel last night, because I told him what a good boy he was

Aw, poor J.D....I bet the storm has him a bit out of sorts. I'm hoping we're seeing the worst of it right now, 'cause it currently isn't too bad!

Be safe...fingers crossed for no flooded basements or power outages!!

Ohhhh, poor J.D.! All those chittery sounds and nervous kitties. So you went back out for the tape - keep the blinds closed if the wind gets very high. That will block some of the flying glass if it shatters. But that shouldn't be a problem hopefully. The tape will help a little. Be safe.

Dyana, glad you, J.D. and Ginger are okay and hope the storm doesn't cause too much damage. Sending stay safe vines.

54 degrees with light rain, and some wind..

J.D. just ate his 3rd Breffis. He seems pretty happy. I called him up from the basement, and he came up. Lots of times, I think he can't hear me, but he does.

Boss just called. Tomorrow, I get to come into work 2 hours late, and if I don't think I can make it, either he or someone else will come get me (that's not a threat, it's an offer). And, I said if J.D. needs to come with me (since I'll have to work past his shot time), is that okay, and he said okay.

J.D. just went back down into the basement. He just likes it down there. I keep the basement door closed when I'm not around as I don't like the way Ginger attacks him on the stairs..sometimes bites him right above his hock (in the achilles heal area, (I guess) for us). And, I just don't like him going down there were there is no food and maybe going too low and then having to climb back up the stairs to get food. It's just safer for him. Especially with the meds he gets..Ondansetron may cause dizzieness, Cyproheptadine may cause blurred vision. Poor kitty. I would love to get him off the meds.

Anyway, he seems pretty happy, even though he doesn't get to go outside, today.

I'm glad J.D. is eating for you. It's nice he can enjoy the basement today. I hope the weather is not too bad for you tomorrow. This storm sounds crazy. I'll be praying for you to stay safe and hopefully not lose your power.

Thanks Carla. He has been eating well all day. I think if I woke up to a 132 tomorrow morning and had to run to work, I would be a little more concerned though, as he didn't start eating today until +1.

I went to take the recycling out to the recyling bin a little while ago, and when I opened the front door, J.D. followed me, and when I heard the wind I told him he couldn't go outside. Now, he's back down in the basement :-| .
 
J.D. was nice flat safe blue all day, and then his liver woke up?

At least he ate his 1st Dinner hungrily.
