Looks like Gideon is going to take a dive into the GREENS this morning. At +2 he is already 112. Just gave him some 9% carb food. If he can't be maintained above 68 with LC food, it his Lantus dose too high, and I should go back to 2.5 units BID? Currently we are at 2.6 units BID. Yes, that .1 does make a difference.

He’s in the blue range more and more. I think this is a good dose. I would feed mc to keep him from dropping under 68.

I just fed him a TBSP of 15%. The 9% did nothing.

Correct 9% is still LC, but it didn't prevent him from going low, so I gave him a TBSP of 15% carb.

Good. It will be good if the mc keeps him surfing. That’s what I was suggesting. A little early when there’s a drop at +2 might keep him surfing is my thinking. But, he’s a cat so who knows.

OK. Good then we agree. I could have tried 12%, but I feel like I am just chasing the BG. The 15% really gave him some room to drop. He is currently 149 at +4, so his nadir could be at +5, +6 or +7. He should be OK. Thanks!
