Oh, and by the way -- there is no "fat shaming" going on here, absolutely not!! When you've been as thin as she has in the past for all the wrong reasons, I'll take "pleasingly plump" any day. (And even though I'm very biased, I have to say: she is adorable.)So Chispa's +3 was actually +2.5 -- I had miscalculated the time because her AM shot was later than usual -- but even at +4 she is higher than PS. Can't imagine what's going on inside that fat,* furry little body, but it sure would be nice if whatever it is goes back to its former predictable pattern.
*Still no results from "diet" plan.

Thanks, Cali — that gives me hope. Chispa has been at 200, but I can see I’m going to have to reduce further. I’m thinking about eliminating the prescription renal food (which I mix with Weruva), since it’s very high in calories—but I feel a little superstitious about that, as if I’d be putting her at risk for accelerating CKD. The science on it seems inconclusive. But clearly the renal food is not good for FD, so there’s that too … so complicated. It took us a while to find a good number of calories to actually get Faraday to go down in weight. 200 first, then 180, then 150, then 135, and finally we had to lighten it a smidge further to account for the snacks at +9, as that was stalling progress. It's a long waiting (weighting, ha!) game.
She was higher this morning because she was bouncing from the 50s she saw last night.
She doesn't need renal food at CKD stage I-II. I thought you were feeding her that because other foods were not agreeing with her.
