Morning. ~O)

Today's starting number is a delayed number. Shadow threw up a hairball around 5 am and I tested and fed her at 6:20 am- she tested
137. I was pretty sure that number was still up from the yakking. So she ate and we went btb for a while and then got up at 8am
and she tested at 108.
So I prefer the later start - obviously - wanted more time after her pukus. I also wanted our "faux shot time" to be later in the day
since I won't be here at 6pm for the pm test. got that surprise birthday party we'll be having.... ;-)

I ran off to santa fe yesterday and bought cakes instead. I did get a little carried away. I found a Tiramisu cake at Whole foods (his
favorite) and then went looking for another. I picked up 2 more cakes at Baskin-Robbins because I'm not sure he'll want to share that
Tiramisu :o . He would have been sad if everyone chose it and it was gone. I'm not that fond of it but I don't know about everyone
else.

I also went into a couple of other specialty pet food stores and found 2 of the ones I had been looking for to try for Shadow. I found
the Holistic Select Chicken and Lamb and I also found Nature's Logic ( which isn't a complete food but I wanted to try it) .
I still haven't found Pinnacle or Evolve.

Still praying for Max and I hope Roni and Moonie and family are all okay, mandatory evacuations are stressful enough without pets
and I know they didn't want to be forced out of their house.

Excellent on the cakes. they all sound so good. It shall be a great party. :-D :-D

Shadow: Congrats on day 11! It is SO COOL that you will be OTJ on Halloween! This will be some OTJ party!!!

Good morning Rhiannon. Really glad to see Shadow is doing so well. Sounds like you're going to throw a great party. Are you going to dress Shadow in an orange juice carton with a big red circle with a line threw it (OTJ) for Halloween? Have a great day.

Hi Rhiannon, that sure sounds like an awesome birthday party for DH. I love the Tiramisu cake and any cakes from Baskin Robin.

It's looking like Shadow is one who likes to chill out in the low blue numbers, eh? That's ok - the zone is the zone! Great that she was able to come back down after a good kek. Have a great party! :thumbup

Had a crazy day.
Was cooking the surprise birthday dinner in another location ... crawfish enchiladas con queso when I realized I forgot the crawfish... @-)
So I called my ds to have him locate them in the freezer and put them where we could sneak over and take them without my DH noticing
but ds wasn't very good at being sneaky.
Fortunately, DH was clueless and I managed to get the crawfish and langostino and get the food all ready without spoiling the surprise.

DH was indeed surprised and my dd could tell that he was a bit concerned that he might have to sit at a table with everyone else instead
of getting to watch the game while he ate his dinner and cake. :lol:
Everyone enjoyed it and he had a nice surprise.
Hopefully I won't be getting any kind of undesirable birthday next year when it's my turn to be 50. I know better than to poke him too hard
about his age because it just comes back on me when it's my turn. :o :lol:
