I hate this pattern! Will it ever go away?!?!? Nothing different to report in Oscar land. All seems well. Since he is still gaining a few ounces, I am going to try to transition to giving 1 less can of food a day. (My 3 cats get 8 cans a day right now - I want to try to move to 7 cans) Both Oscar and Yoda could stand to not gain any more weight

Oscar just loves to defy the rules, doesn't he? Kelly, he would drive me crazy! See what happens the next couple of cycles, hopefully he'll decide to acknowledge that he's getting more juice...

Good luck with the food! Did you ever get that lysine gel?

Yes I did - right now I am only giving it to my civie Daisy. Giving 1ml once a day seems to control her weepy eye pretty well so far. I am doing another litter change (when will I ever make up my mind! lol) and am waiting to see if that helps the very occasional sneezing with Daisy and Yoda. (Switching from WBCL to Dr. Elsey's)

So does she like the taste? Seems like some people had trouble with the cats not liking the taste, I was worried about that. Glad it's helping!

Oh, fun with the litter...not! I use the Breeze system, pellets so there's no dust. Pita is asthmatic and it works well for us. I don't use the pads though, I just empty the tray 1-2x day.

unfortunately I will not be back home until shot time. :(

Daisy seems to like the gel well enough. She won't lick it off my finger, so I put it on her front paw so she has to lick it off. She has never been interested in treats though, so I am not surprised she doesn't lick it off my finger.

Oscar is asthmatic too, but did really well when we changed from the standard dusty litter to wbcl. I am trying the dr. elsy's because it is supposedly even less dusting than the corn and because of the corn smell. I have read that corn isn't as hypoallergenic as we would like to believe, so maybe the new kind will help Oscar just a little bit more breathing wise and help my living room to not smell like corn!
