What do you give for bad diahrrehea?? I am so stressed already, she had some this morning--I have been giving her beef temptations, and I gave her a chicken FFhc sliced gravy & she ate a lot--
What med can I give her?? Maybe I shouldnt go to evacuate?? Help!!!

Oh no Roni! I'm sorry, I have no advice. I rarely have to, but use Fortiflora also.

I've been worrying about you all day. I can't even imagine what the NY looks like. I went out today, to pick up a few things in case of power outage because of wind and downed trees.

We are nowhere near the storms, yet it looked like everyone in the tri-county area, was out shopping. I swear it looked like you see on tv for evacuation.

Prayers for you and Brad.....be safe my friend.

roni, you can pick up a good quality probiotic from any drug store. start with about a third of a capsule sprinkled on or mixed in food. you might have to increase the dose if necessary.

if you can get your hands on any commercial raw food like nature's variety instinct raw... raw food will firm up stools.

stay safe! will be thinking of you.

Golly, I don't know what to say except to echo the others who say that FortiFlora is good for diarrhea (sp?). But who knows how fast-acting it would be. If Moonie is losing a lot of fluids, just make sure that she drinks water so she doesn't get dehydrated.

I am so sorry that you have to evacuate. What changed your mind about staying put? Where are you going?
My friend, I wish I could be there to help you out. Just try to stay calm so that Moonie doesn't catch your anxiety. Roll with the punches, as it were. We are thinking about you and praying for your safety and for Moonie to recover from her bout with diarrhea quickly.

Love and BIG HUGS,

Ella & Rusty

Hi again, I was writing this post when I saw that you had called. I'm glad we had a chance to talk and that Moonie is calming down a bit. Do take care.

Hi Roni,

You can give Immodium AD. I'm not sure of the dose though. My vet used to give me a liquid version since I couldn't get Calli to swallow a pill. It's probably a quarter or eighth of a pill. It was horrible tasting as a liquid and would make her foam. I had decided to try harder with the pill next time because of that. I'll see if I have the bottle.

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

We are sending as much healing energy for Moonie and good wishes for you and DH, what a scary time for you all. Nothing to add on the diarrhea, we use fortiflora regularly and it helps stimulate Zener's appetite. I'm sure Moonie is sensing the storm and everyone's anxiety too. :YMHUG:

I hope Moonie's diarrhea has gotten better and you've been able to evacuate safely. Sending prayers to you and your family.

I hope Moonie is feeling v=better, there is a chewable version of Imodium, but I don't know what the dose would be for a cat. You might be able to grind it up and mix it in food.

Have you found a place to go? I looked at where you are and am glad you are getting out. Prayers for all of you.

Roni, I posted in another condo I thought. I hope sweet Moonie is feeling better. Sending stay safe vines for you, Moonie and DH's safety and friends Lots of hugs and prayers.

Thinking of you guys tonight. Be safe.

Can't help with the diarrhea, just more of what has already been said,. I know you guys are stressed, i am sure Moonie is picking up on that. Once things calm down I am sure she will feel better. Lots of hugs for her - it will help. Good luck with everything.

(((Roni, Brad, and Moonie))) Sending you prayers for safety and hoping Moonie's diarrhea will get better with the ideas everyone has given you.

Please let us know when you can that you are safe. We all love you!! Please be careful.
