Yesterday was..... blue and yellow day in Mannieland, which according to Mannie, and his buddy Zener, make him a green kitty. Somehow there is logic there... :lol: :lol: It was nice to see the blues yesterday. Since his last run-in with the greens,we haven't had many high cycles, short of one pink post. No fan of the bounces here (duh), but it is good that they have calmed down alot. I keep hoping that the overall range will flatten out even more, be more blue, so we can work on getting more green into his cycles. Paws crossed! Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D I miss the days when DGS is here - there are always such funny things going on. Makes for great stories. Today Mannie was on his own, more than likely in recovery mode. :lol: :lol: He is very patient with Nicholas, but there are time when that little boy gives him a run for his money... literally. Zip Zip ZIP goes the Manster. Amazing!, since Mannie does not ZIP much. :lol: :lol: Normalcy for him is a longggggggggggggggggg snooze in his bed, which is what he did yesterday. We had alot of rain yesterday, off and on for most of the day. Perfect Napping weather in his opinion. He made an attempt to go outside in the morning, made one tour of the yard, and then back inside... dragging half the yard with him. :shock: :shock: His under-carrriage fur is so long that it just picks up everything. Poor Mannie! he had to endure my debris removal session before he was allowed to return to his bed. he was not happy..... :shock: :roll: :roll: :lol: ;-) ;-) This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a few cuddles. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. Today will be catch up day: all the fun stuff: cleaning, laundry, shopping, more cleaning... and general do what should be done - BECAUSE I didn't do half of it yesterday. :lol: :lol: :lol: Hopefully I can get a walk or a hike i during the day. :-D

Hey everybody! WOOT on yesterday. I LUBS PASTRY SHOPS!!!! We gots to do that again. Hey!! Guess what! I hear that there is snow in them mountains, in the high up places. You guys wanna go? Maybe see if we can snowboard? Or maybe just a snow hike, or some snow sliding...?? You guys in? If not It is really nice in CA, and AZ and we could hang out at the beach.... :-D Let me know - I am ready for anything! OOOOOOOOOO! I thinks I may be the Lion King for Halloween. Tess said I should, and Maggie and Gracie, and well... what'd'ya think? I kinda like it! ~~ Mannie

I hope that mid yellow AMPS means you'll see some blue today. Poor Mannie with his long fur bringing in all that debris. I'm sure he couldn't understand why you wouldn't just let him go straight to his bed. :lol:

I always look forward to their meeting up on DGS days. Maggie has been bringing leaves in the house. I don't know how they get inside. I guess when I step outside, the wind blows them inside. Have a great day with the catch-up. Maybe you'll get cabin fever and get in a walk,

Mannie, snow sledding sounds fun to me and hot cider and hot chodolate afterwards. I have some warm leggings and fleece coats, too, somewheres in my closet. Our beaches here are awesome today with temps in low 80's if some feel like beaching it today. Sun will be out all day! I'll catch you on the curb, Mags

The grooming is over, time to relax , nap and slide back down.
No need to visit that pink floor.

205 @ 4. and.... first test was a90 :shock: :shock: , so I retested, got a 213. HUH???? :o and another got a 203 ;-) . Just goes to show: one should always retest when the first one gets ht :shock: response....

Ha, that WAS barely pink at +2 and now he's on the slide to the blue grotto! Woo hoo!

We follow your instructions for getting a second test when you have the :o reaction. Most of the time, we get a higher numbers, same results as you did. This usually happens when we don't get a large enough drop of blood. Only on occasion does the 2nd test confirm the :o reaction.

Hope you enjoy some sun in the PNW today. We are looking forward to the fll_moon party!

Hi Anne - as it was for me: questionable blood amt for the first test, and I really didn't expect him to be green... so automatic retest. It usually proves that the first one was a in error. NO sun today.... bummer! Lots of clouds, but at least it is not raining.

Me too on the fll_moon party! going to be a good one! :-D :-D

I clip Clancy's tum and bum, and he doesn't even go outside. Rather than bring in the yard debris, he brings 'things' out of the LB :roll:

Hi Michelle - things sure are a whirlwind with grandkids, aren't they? Little tornados come in and take over! Poor Mannie, he will probably have several good solid naps for a couple days. He was probably out like a light. It's good he was so patient with DGS and was so good about interacting and the testing (I still can't get the "sight" of Nicholas grabbing and holding Mannie's leg! LOL! I'm glad everything is normal in MannieLand, and nice slide out of yellows there. I hope you were still able to get out for a hike, although just getting caught up on errands feels like good progress.

Mannie - sorry I missed the pastry trip. I got the bean to let me out of the torture box during car rides, so I'm not so woozy after each trip, so I'm ready for the Harvest Moon party at Rusty's WOOHOO! ~Leo

Hi Ann - My blue smilie!! YAY!!! Yupp, errands all done,w ell what ahd to e done,a ndyupp: got ot o n a short hike. it was more of an exploratory thing - checking out river sites for DGS. I managed to get a few miles out of it, found some nice trails be the river, and a coupe of good river/shore access points for Nicholas. It sure was nice to be out today. and: NO RAINS!

Hi Lisa - oh yes on the grandkids... non stop whirlwind! I so agree on Mannie - he slept most of yesterday and part of today - imagine the look of "on ho, again" when DGS and family stopped in for a short visit this afternoon. he was good though, let Nicholas pet him. We didn't have any leg grabbing today though. I can still see that too - so so cute, and just as funny. I did get out for a short "hike" - went to check out a few areas for DGS adventures, managed to get a couple of miles out of it all. YAY! and no rains while I was there: even better!

Hey Leo - no biggie - and guess what! I saved you some pastries! YUM, dude, YUM! I am so glad you was let out of the box. wow, that must really suck to be in there, ya know? and no wooszies? YAY!!! see ya tomorrow for the full moon party - it will be da-bomb! ~~ Mannie

This turned out to be a very nice day for Mannie, love that blue! I hope you got out in the sunshine Michelle, it was pretty warm out this afternoon.

Interesting comment about the low test strips. Yesterday I got a 22 :o and immediately retested to get something considerably higher. :lol: I think it was low blood too, like only one half of the strip got loaded.

Hunter Moon! I'ze all set, got my hunting gear all ready to go! I'm looking for more birds.

Hi Wendy it really did turn out to be a good day for him. I wasn't so sure after that +2, but he did bring it all down rather nicely. It was warmer here too, but not any sun. We had a cloud cover all day, but I still got out - just to scout out some locations for Nicholas and some new adventures. I enjoyed the time on a new spot on the Skykomish River. oh yes on the test strips... 90n was great, but I just thought nah.... not on what I thought was his agenda, and sure enough the re-tests were much higher. wow on your 22 error!

Neko! YOU ARE SO COOL! A bird!!! I is so proud!! We can hunt at Rusty's too! no deer though... they is family, but birds are a go... and squirrels... and mousies... See ya - only one day to go.I can't wait...~~ Mannie

Sorry to be so late. I hardly got to any condos today. Tomorrow night at the barn is a go! Full Hunters' Moon. And the hurricane to boot! tonight the moon is wonderful: misty, mysterious--very Halloween like.

Mannie, will we do the progressive Halloween party again this year? If so, let's plan to be at Camp Stu by midnight so that we can see and feel the veil lift and party with our GAs. It will be so wonderful.
Tomorrow night Hunters' Moon party definitely in my barn. All is ready.
