Good morning everyone!! We're a little late...still fighting this cold and was up late with Grace last night. I awoke this morning to the wonderfully cool breeze coming in through the windows, birds chirping, and me snuggled in the down comforter; the "kittens" (Gracie and Tobey) were draped around my head on my pillow (meaning I had about 4 sq inches of it). Tobey's purr is like a locomotive and Gracie's is soft and warm like her little body. And then...GUS. My darling Gus...he LOVES to lick and his sandpapery tongue is like having dermabrasion :lol: :lol: :lol: But it was a lovely morning basking in the cuddles of 3 of our 4 kitties. Wish DH had been there but they tend to all get in bed with me when he's gone...either because they think I'm lonely or there's just more room :lol:

WCR: Doing great... my little Gracie. 4Ps in place. With Libby's advice, I gave her a fat .75u this cycle to see if we can kick up a little more action then blue and for longer periods of time. I went to sleep at +6 last night when she was at 135...either I'm becoming more confident that she isn't going to hypo on me (she is so unpredictable) or I was so tired I became negligent. But I did the math..."she usually comes up at +8 and she's decreasing at about 10/hour so we should be ok". She bounced kind of high today so she may have come down more. Unfortunately, the +2 today is a food spike...little devil got into Gus's 6% and made a pig out of herself grr_red grr_red grr_red

I'm working from home today to monitor her while Mike is in Dallas. But I must get busy so I'll check condos at lunch. Have a wonderful days. Healing vines to any sick LL kitties and their beans.

Hi Marjorie - I hope Gracie's dosecrease gets her out of the pinks.

sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, was gonna tell Mike before he left that we are expecting hi 30's at night. But I see he's already here. Hope he brought a jacket. I'm in one of the northern suburbs, Dallas proper was going to be in the 40's at night. Days are heavenly mid-70's.

you and i both under the weather. feel better.

I love it when the kitties want to snuggle at night.

Hi Marjorie, isn't a warm snuggly, purring kitty, the absolutely best waker upper? I wish mine would come to my pillow, they like to lay around my legs and trap me. :lol:
So yellow is better than pink, you agree? :-D

Mornin'! Not too bad of a bounce... there are those days when that is what they do. Seems she and Mannie are on the same page today - a slow slide down. Find those blues Gracie!

Snuggly kitties, one of the nicest things about cooler weather. Gracie seems to be coming down nicely.

Low pinks, let's call it peach! :razz: At least she didn't follow Tess's example and look for the penthouse. Some times they bounce after what seems to us to be no big drop. I hope the dosecrease helps, looks like it may be starting to do so.

You called it Ann....ridiculous bounces after what does not seem like that low of numbers the night before. Frustrating. She may also be filling her shed with new dose so has some NDW going on? Or is that only for reductions? So she followed Tess right on up!!

Please inform Ms. Gracie that we all think she looked far better in blue than she does in pink. A bounce and some new dose wonkiness thrown in make for a lovely shade of pink!

I really liked your am report this morning Marjorie! I'm like you, I really enjoy having my furries to cuddle with, but truth be told, not on a work morning because then I have to stay in bed later and then gotta rush to get ready for work (see my am report, lol)

As far as the By Nature....Spot usually gets 0-2% carbs, that's it. So, if he went up that much in an hour and a half on 3% carbs, all I gotta say is WOW, my boy must be pretty carb sensitive, huh! I know that I definitely got higher numbers when he was eating that.

Well, heading off to bed, just took Spot's nini test and he is pacing, waiting for me to start preparing his nini snack! Have a good night!

Hmm..somehow I missed your condo earlier Marjorie. Love the kitties in the bed with you! Muffin slept with me all night last night, but she doesn't cuddle too often. I'm not complaining, I got cuddles yesterday afternoon AND the kitty in bed all night.

Thanks Sienne, Anne, Lisa, and Deb..glad you enjoyed the WCR and snuggle stories. That was the highlight of our day.

I'm really bummed by these numbers and I KNOW I shouldn't just look at one cycle but it is tough...I know we all wonder where these crazy numbers come from.
I have been extremely careful so know I didn't shoot fur since last Sunday...and that was a cat moving violation instead of mamabean shooting wrong violation :lol: :lol:
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and all 4 cats' paws crossed (that's a lot of crossing) that she'll move down tonight. Hmmm...maybe I should say that my lantus is probably getting old because every time I do, she drops :lol: :lol:

Deb..thanks for the info on Spot and 3%. I can't really tell that Gracie is really affected by the 3% AND in actuality, I didn't get the numbers for the fish from By Nature as Gracie can't have much fish and she does like the Surf n Turf so that's all of that she can have. I may have to try a course of just 0-2% foods and see how she does but the selections are so limited. The only foods I have now that are 2% or lower are 95% Evo beef and chicken/turkey. If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know. I do use J&B's charts but some things are not on there or are outdated.

hi marjorie, what's up? i'm not used to seeing these numbers with little gracie. confused_cat i know you're wondering too. tomtom sends his brotherly advise com'on down gracie, i know you can do it, you know you can do, so come visit me in the blue's tonite...we can have a couple of tunarita's and a good long talk. gotta keep the mama beans from worrying ya know'

Thanks, Lori....if this f.75u doesn't kick in after 6 cycles, Libby asked me to take her back up to 1u. So...we'll see. Sometimes the girl surprises me. Glad Tom Tom is doing well.

Marjorie - does Gracie like SophistaCat? They have a couple that are 0% carb.
