Hi and Happy Saturday. I have good news....thankfully! Went to pick up the blood work and vet came out to speak with me in person instead of waiting to call me after her office hours were finished at noon. I have been updating Shadow's blood work linked to our signature.
Good news is that his urine is good with no issues there. His liver values are good. His white blood cells are good...actually, she said things were all looking good. Whew! I am so relieved that there isn't a whole bunch of other things going on. So now we can just focus on getting over this pancreatitis thing.
We are using the enzymes and no one is noticing them in their food at all! Yay! We are using pepcid first thing before breffis and then again before dinner. No vomit today. Will resume the Denamarin for him alter today......

I am feeling so much better now. I am going to increase his insulin back up to where it belongs at 1.5u tonight and hopefully we can get him back on track again. We had the blood drawn at +7 yesterday and it came back at 251 (our tests were +4=336, +8=190 so that was just about right, considering the stress from being the vet office and all...good job Shadow!)
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday....I am for sure....feeling very thankful for our blessings....Hugs!

Yay, for good bloodwork. I'm so happy that you are feeling much better now :) Hugs!

I might have to try some of that pancrease enzyme stuff you talk about. Can you share the link again?

I hope you have a really good day :-D

Hi Pat - YAY for good news!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D What relief for sure! Sounds great to get his muslin dose back up. I hope he is doing wel with his pancreatitis recovery. HUGS to all there. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Great news on the blood work! Does that mean that the enzymes don't need to be that expensive one? BTW I googled it and found several sources that were much cheaper.

Thanks everyone!
Ann...here is a link to what we received from the vet:

Was wondering what others you have found. I think there are many others ...I thought they were plant based enzymes which are much cheaper. But this has porcine enzymes (pork) and needs a prescription. From what I have read, the animal based enzymes in powder form are the most effective. I would be interested in seeing a link to the other products you found though. I haven't really researched others fully....
(and this has the added vitamins too which I have not read about yet either...)

Such great news today! Pat, I know how happy you are to have all the uncertainty taken away. I'll be interested to see the results of the enzymes after Shadow and Raja have been on them for a while.

Have a great weekend!

Hugs from us,

Ella & Rusty
