The good news is Noogi continues to show improvement. He is moving around quite well and does not appear to be in pain anymore, even without painkillers. The vet thinks he likely hurt his back by accident rather than a rapid deterioration with the arthritis. So for now we are continuing with the anti-inflammatory and will treat for pain if/when it recurs. He gave me some meds to keep handy in case of another episode of acute pain.
The not so good news is his numbers have been a bit all over the place today. He had a vet visit so that could account for some of it. His eating has been okay, could be better. I'm aware pain can cause higher BG, so will monitor closely for the next couple days.
