Yesterday was another multi colour day. Bean is tapping toes waiting for depot to fill.

Alright, let's just get this out there first thing. Neko has two cycles after which the depot should be full from the fur shots. And then, up we go. So Neko, you are on notice!!! I already whispered it in her ear. She's lying in the sunshine in her basket and I have been very carefully sniffing her. Just good Neko smell, and she's heard the threat.

We broke the streak this morning of sleeping in until the alarm went off. Dual noisy litter box action and mewing half an hour early. :roll: Neko wanted out the front door after breakfast, which meant I had to delay btb a while. Still waiting for the stairs to the deck to be put back (paws crossed it's today), so I have to keep going to the downstairs doors and seeing if she wants in. When she finally came to me there was a very indignant "momma, my stairs are missing, how do I get back up to the deck and solarium?" She got back at me by littering pine needles all over the kitchen floor. :lol:

Our corner post to the deck is up - yeah! Just some touch up painting needed and it's done. We've got just a couple of more forecast sunny warm days so I want to get all the outdoor stuff DONE! This has been one of our driest Octobers. Fortunately it looks like showers for Halloween which might cut the noise down a bit.

Thanks Amy and Liz for the late night visits last night. Beans were out taking advantage of the numbers. I hope everyone is having a great Sunday.

Well lets hope the threat does the trick (it seems to work on Doogle...LOL). I so wish I had a screened in deck so the herd could go out on it and enjoy the outside in comfort. I would love to enjoy the outside in comfort....LOL. I hope Neko's depot fills up for you today and you get back to some good numbers. :-D

Heed that threat, Neko!!

Wendy, I hope the deck and steps will be finished before the bad weather comes on Halloween. How will you keep the trick-or-treaters off the deck? We solve the problem by sitting on our front steps with a shopping bag of candy and never even give them the opportunity to ring a doorbell.

@Donna - The deck is only partially cat safe. It's a bit tricky because I don't want the civie outside - the one time he did his feral side came out. But Neko I can trust so she gets out door privileges. She does love just sitting on the deck and sniffing. The solarium is on the deck and with the windows open, they both love it. It's one of my favorite places in cooler weather too.

@Ella - The carport is to the side and the stairs to the back yard, so trick or treaters don't go back there. Stairs just need reassembling, so should be OK, but I said that about the post yesterday. :lol: The worst part of the trick or treaters is the fireworks going off in the street in front of us. :twisted:

Ugh on those numbers! Your bean is spoiled, Neko. Back to bidness! We turn out all of the lights and hide in the back room. Kids still ring our doorbell. Duh. :roll:

I hope Neko gives you better numbers now that she's had time to recover from the fur shots. Hopefully you can get the deck finished soon.

Nice to see that drop to PS. Neko had a good wander outside this afternoon. Stairs did not get done. :roll: They are half done, all we are doing is mounting the treads back, but as usual nothing is as easy as it seems. While DH and I were out (but not Neko) a young orinch guy came by and said hello. He walked up the risers (without treads) and snuck around the plywood we had blocking cats from the stairs. As DH said, neither of our kitties could do under or through what this young skinny thing did. :lol: Neko was not impressed to see this kitty outside her solarium door screen. She was yowling at him when I did the +8 test.

@Liz - Better colour to start the night. On all Hallow's Eve, we answer the door for the first hour or so when the young kids come around, they we leave for a Halloween/Oktoberfest party at a friends. I don't think 16 year olds need the candy.

@Carla - Looking better so far, but we'll have to see what the night brings. Painting project seems never ending. :shock:

@Nancy - Good start with the blue, we'll see what I shoot in the AM. Good cat smell is much better than Levemir smell. :roll:

@Rhiannon - One more cycle, we'll see if she listened. FIrecrackers are illegal here, but lots of people go cross border shopping and bring them up here for Halloween. :twisted:
