OK - I have been experimenting a bit. My conclusions so far are that using Lantus was like using a squirt gun on a forest fire - not helping.

This morning, he was in the high hundreds (blue) ... hasn't been there in a while. And last night was in the low yellows at pmps. Maybe the antibiotic is kicking in, or the Lantus clearing out, or I've found the approximate dose he needs, or the moon is in the 7th house ....

Whatever. If he'll just stay DOWN, I'd really appreciate it.

Holy cow! The blue and yellow really clash with red and black....but in a good way. I'd pay money to know what last night's nadir was....
Are you going to be able to test mid cycle today?
All we need is for Jupiter to align with Mars and thanks...the 5th Dimension will be bouncing inside my skull for the rest of the day!

Planning to swing home around +6-+7

Maybe overall insulin was too high?

Maybe the diarrhea he's having is preventing him from absorbing much (2 more doses to go).

*sigh*

Its either too much, too little, or not lasting long enough.

Oh Yeah! been there...felt that!
yes it sucks but hang in there...you will find the right dose

I'm thinking that a huge bounce, and that the insulin is "too high". Spitzer had almost 6u in a 24 hour period. The 1.5 yesterday piggiebacked on top of the 1.0 he had for breakfast, pushing him down to a nice PMPS. I'm wondering if he was still falling at that time... still low this morning, and the 1.5 pushed him too low for his liver to play along. I'd recommend not chasing the bounce at shot time tonight. Let's see what he shows you.

I didn't shoot when I tested him at +7ish (3:40).

Tonight, gave him 1.6 (used the U-100 syringe & did the math/look-up).

Note: the FortiFlora seemed to induce some binge eating in several cats, with resultant diarrhea. If that (6 large puddles of diarrhea) was all from Spitzer, I doubt he'd be functional due to serious electrolyte imbalance.

Is he done with the AB? That could cause liquipoo too. Hoping the 1.6 works well! He really didn't climb after that +7 which is a good thing.
