Good morning, everyone,

Way up again this morning after the 101 last night. I stayed with the Freestyle lite after testing myself with both meters yesterday, but in looking over the SS I see higher trending numbers in general with the present box of strips, together with drops to lower numbers in patterns that don't make much sense to me. I think I'll use the backup meter for the rest of the day, just to experiment.
Anyway, Rusty is fine. He made sure we got up this morning by noisily raking his lb, playing with squeak mouse, and loudly working with his scratcher. No one could sleep through that!

Edward is ok and didn't have to take the heavy duty pain pills for his tooth. Tonight we're going out to dinner with a friend, and then home tomorrow. Rusty is being very patient, but I know he wants to get back to his yard and the critters there! Rain is coming here today, and there are reports for snow at home.

I'm sure Rusty will be glad to get home to all of his own stuff. Maybe his numbers will be nicer at home.

I'm glad Edward came through OK.

Hi guys .. rusty, what's up with the yellow? Didn't you see how happy your beanz were with your bluez? Come down please .. Glad to hear Edward isn't in pain from the dental visit .. hope your dinner tonight goes well .. Snow? Yikes! I'm not quite ready for that 4 letter word :lol: have a great day!

It's been raining here for days and now they're threatening snow as well. Stay warm and have a wonderful dinner.

Hi again,
I tested with both meters on the same drop of blood and got, at +5.5, 209 on the Freestyle Lite and 269(!) on the Relion. I'll stick with the freestyle for the time being!

Rusty enjoyed a lite lunch of Merrick BG turkey (he had Wellness turkey for breakfast). He's relaxing on the table, looking out the window at the moment. We'll play a game in a little while. Edward is at the library. I thought about going, but decided to take a walk in Central Park instead. I wanted to see how the red tailed hawks are doing (very well).

Well, that's a little better but you have a ways to go yet , Rusty! Ell, have you tried a new battery? When my meter does odd things that usually clears it up. I'm glad Edwardisn't in too much pain. 2 root canals! I remember that, the worst part was holding my mouth open that long. :roll:

Rusty, museums today? Kewl! We promise to be on out best behavior. But I don't know if Tobey will leave his hot dog cart! -- Tess

Just a quick note as it is dinner time but Jill suggested on our condo last night that we try feeding Gracie later in the cycle to counteract low numbers that she gets around +6/+7. She said she feeds Alex two portions at PS, a portion between +1/+2, and a portion between +6/+7. Today Mike fed Gracie at PS, +2, +4, +5, +5.5, +6.5 .....and she still dropped to 35. But I think the concept is an excellent one and we are going to keep trying it.

Glad to see Rusty in blue....now come on down buddy!

Low numbers don't appear to be our problem!! We always feed lunch at about +5.5 in any event. I try to feed "planned free feeds". I will have to think this through.

Everyone have a good night. Won't be posting until we get home tomorrow afternoon, probably.
