Morning everyone,

Glad yesterday afternoon is over and I had a good resting night at home. Home is what it sounds like
now, it wasn't the home I was used to before leaving.... I'd put a young girl in charge of the place for
taking care of the kitties while I was hospitalized. A girl in witch I had some sort of confidence cause
she had done it before in a good way. Check this up later... :nailbiting:

I got my congé (release) from hospital yesterday before noon. My father picked me up at the
front door and we headed to a place where I could re-discover what real food was. Strangely
enough, even a medium-fat smoked meat at Swatch (a classic) didn't seem that special, haft of it
was carry on. Going back home would be the major league change, I told myself. And indeed it
was but not in a way it should have been. Right at door opening came into my face a draft of urine
smell like a tornado hitting a house. The acidic eye closing smell was simply terrible. Imagine an
neglected / clandestine pet shelter and it's just what it smelled like. Sure SPCA (animal protection
Canada) would have closed the place for insalubrity against animal. Something was wrong in there...

When I headed to the kitchen and Dinning room, where the litters boxes are, I just falled on my back. :nailbiting:
A rock solid single piece of litter topped by poop was waiting there, abandoned for how many days
I don't know. It took me quite a few loads to break and empty the damn thing, even more disgusting
then what you would see on the side of streets in the open. Following the smell I headed to the bath
room to find even worst. At the bottom of the bath was a cleaning towel saturated by urine with a trail
of it going down to the evacuation hole. Everywhere on the floor were dried poops :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:
The spectacle was just out of a publicity showing what not to do if you don't want to be persecuted
for neglect against animal. I'm very lucky the bathroom was the only target, there was other urine
spot here and there in the apartment but nothing that could not be cleaned.
That's for the salubrity part, it's not over. The bowl of water that had to be emptied and filled
with fresh one was... :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:... FULL OF BACTERIAL WORMS FILLING THE BOTTOM
AND STARING TO SATURATE SHE REST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question that was coming to my mind is how could someone with a minimum of intelligence
could do that ?????????????:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:. Coming to a place to administer insulin the way
it had to be done but not realizing this was a none sens. The bare minimum she could have done
is leaving the patio door open like instructed so the kitties could escape this nightmare and go out.
The door was shot closed, making the smell rise exponentially up to saturation. This mess was not
from someone living in the third wold, she's from the area where I live. Verdun, in Montreal, is a place with young families,
old timers and mid class adults doing their best to be good citizens. She even neglected the feeder
and who knows what. There is five compartment to put the food in and it turns at preset intervals.
One small bowl has to be filled with a quarter can to stop SL from going too low at nadir. This bowl
had made more then one 360 twice a day without being taken care of ? Did the cats received the food
they needed ? I'll never know. ****, WHAT THIS MESS IS ABOUT !!!!!! Let's say she (the pet ''sitter'')
has been here when I arrived restraining myself from grabbing her by the neck and raising her up
would have been hard. I had to cool down... After opening every possible windows, changing litter
cleaning the floors, letting the cats breath some fresh air I opened a bottle of beer to uncompresse.

I then texted her in a very conservative manner so she would not be afraid, just to tell her I'd money
for her and some verification about what was written on the check list indicating what had to be done
every day. (she was receiving good money for that duty). When she came I told her she had done agood job in
managing insulin and testing Small Kitty but didn't waist time in getting to the point that had to be addressed.

She was smiling and not spinning at all. When I asked her for how long this disaster lasted
she said it was just 1 day. Fu**en bullshit I told myself. I should have told her in full blast but diplomatic
as I am, some time, I stayed calm and told her that this neglect was not acceptable. I was to give her a
good bonus for her help during these two weeks but she received what she deserved, the bare minimum.
I was already too generous, she should have received a blast of **** and being told to get out of my place
asap before my diplomacy would turn into a full blast storm.

Any ways, the kitties were still ''pissed off'' when I arrived but once the clean of was complete,
the litter boxes accessible and the patio door opened for some fresh air they slowly came back
purring. After shot time I gave them part of my meal, some cooked chicken that they jumped on.
They both slept on my side during the night turning around on their back with legs bent purring
mad. I was forgiven.

This morning red comes out of nowhere :blackeye::blackeye::blackeye:. Yes, there has been NS and 1 unit is pretty low
but Small Kitty has proven to be able to recover quite well. Plus, he was blue yesterday. It doesn't
make sens. Hope he will come back down soon so I don't put the new done in question.

Wish you have a consern free day and that you never go through that kind of situation ever or since.
Our kitties are kind of our little children, you want the best for them. Glad a full can of Lysol and
windows opening made them feel great this morning. I'll be more careful in choosing my care taker
now on.

Sebastien, tired and going back to bed

I have NO idea how you restrained yourself with your "petsitter". I would have used every swear word in the world at her and probably refused to pay anything and would have had to restrain myself from strangling her!!! I am sure your kitties are more than ecstatic to have you home again and get their home back to normal. Don't worry about a high number of two...now that you are back I am sure SK will settle back into good numbers.

Just rest and take care of yourself. Hope you are able to get your pot quickly. :bighug::bighug:

Everything is back in place now. I've even built a ''wall'' on the patio so they can spend time outside
in open air.

Believe me Ann, restraining myself from blowing up was hard when she arrived. She didn't cross the
door for long time, just close enough to get the money and run a few steps back. I paid her because
she's a good commodity. Living 2 blocks away from my place I can place last min. calls for shooting
in case I can't be there. Very practical on Friday Nights :cat:.

Small Kitty is going back down, hope he'll reach blue tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting ! :bighug:

.

How horrible. I'm sorry you and the kitties had to deal with that. I'm glad things are back in place now and the kitties are happy. I'm sure they are very happy to have you home. :bighug:
