Happy Friday!

Yesterday's condo

10/24 AMPS=142; +2=135; +9.5=169
10/24 PMPS=178; +2=140; +4=158

10/25 AMPS=92; +1=67; +2=45; +2.5=41; +3=61; +3.5=54; +4=77; +7.5=119
10/25 PMPS=112; +2=94; +4=103; +6.5=142

Finally a "normal range" number!!!
I'm pretty sure that today's AMPS number is affected by yesterday's sub-q fluids, but still I am very happy about this!

Lucy is also in a very good mood this morning.
She licked my face to wake me up, and was very happy when I finally got up.
She had a nice normal poo before the AMPS test, and ate about 2/3 of the 1st breakfast by herself!!!
She definitely feels better in this range.

I know 67 isn't low enough for karo, but it's early in the cycle and I have to go to work today.
So I mixed just a tiny drop of karo in the 2nd breakfast as she does't do so well with HC.
If she is not much higher at +2, I think I will mix just some gravy from HC food with her regular LC....

She had the 3rd breakfast with some gravy from a different can.
So I'd say it was MC.
I will re-test in 30 min.....

Lucy, I have to go to work....
I think I'll use karo after this.

Gabby doesn't do well with gravy, either. I use either corn syrup or honey regularly to steer her numbers. I adjust the amount of syrup based on where her numbers are.

Still not safe to leave her.....
Since I have a volunteer duty late afternoon today, I may not be able to go to work at all today.
In which case, I'll have to go to the office tomorrow... :-x

Nice catch today! She might be ruining your weekend, but at least you don't need to dosecrease now. :lol:

Sounds like Lucy is feeling good today. I hope the gravy doesn't spoil that.

I got to go to the office for 2 hours, and don't have to go over the weekend!

Lucy is sleepy now.
She's purry too, but not particularly in a good mood any more.
I probably should have stay away from gravy......
In future, I will only use karo/maple syrup with LC like Sienne does.

Mariko & Lucy, congratulations on the great numbers, good catch Mariko on the +2 - +3. I'm glad Lucy went back up, but sorry about the gravy.

What happens that she doesn't do well with gravy that makes karo or maple syrup better?

She was doing so well this morning, so happy & a good poo, I hope she continues that way for you & the gravy is just a little blip.

Also glad you were able to get to work & won't have to go in this weekend. Hope you can get some quality R&R in !!!

Thank you all very much for your visit today.
Lucy didn't get sick from the gravy today, but that's because I only used it once and just a very small amount today.
She wasn't very hungry, but ate her 1st dinner fine. :-D

Suzanne - It seems to me that gravy gives her tummy problem.
In the past, when she went low, I always used HC gravy food, and she almost always got sick by the next cycle.
She does fine while eating it, but by the next preshot time she'd be feeling sick and refuse to eat.
When I used karo only to steer her numbers, this didn't happen.
Today, I tried gravy only from a MC can of a different brand, and it made her a bit gassy.
So, I think for Lucy I'd better stay away from gravy food, which isn't too bad because she doesn't really like it much anyway, unlike most other kitties.
I may use pate type MC if I don't need to rush to bring her up, but I'll mostly use karo & maple syrup from now on.

Hi Mariko! Cheers for Lucy having a good day, complete with licking your face to wake you up! I'm glad you sorted out work so you can still have the weekend off. Enjoy it!

Poo patrol is so pleased to read of Lucy's nice normal poo.


The green dramarama post poo was not necessary. :cool:
