Yesterday's Condo

Furry Purry boy this morning, with lots of BTCs as the bean stayed up way too late watching the end of a rain-delayed football game. View from the bed into the hallway includes a hairball pukus, so we'll be clearing that up shortly. Have to finish raking the leaves today (after I go buy a new rake) and get some other work done. Excited to be leaving for DC at the end of the week (well, excited for all of it except that part about leaving for the airport at like 4:30 in the am. Ugh. Until then, I'll enjoy this sunny, unseasonably warm day (highs to be in the upper 70s!). Hope everyone has a great day!

Nice start to the day Willie. You are such as sweetheart. That was kind of mean what K-State did to Kansas yesterday. I don't suppose you minded. :lol: :lol: We are having very mild fall weather here but it's about to end this week and get cold. Enjoy your day!

Tee hee.... as a K-State alum (M.A.), who taught or helped many of the players during office hours (several of us TAs shared one big office and would help each others' students), blowing out KU is always a joy. I was a little bummed though... the Jayhawks went all price gouging on tickets for the game... $80/seat for the whole stadium! This coming week's tickets? $25. I wanted to go, as Lawrence is only a half hour or so from me, but $160 for my sister and I?? I opted to watch on TV, and judging from the stands, lots of other people did too. Of course, when I last attended the Sunflower Showdown in Lawrence in 2000, we KSU fans turned the entire stadium purple. Guess they were just trying to prevent a repeat of that??? :lol: :lol: :lol: Apparently, the KSU fans did get a couple pranks in... after the score at the beginning of the 2nd quarter, the KSU band started playing Happy Trails (traditionally our song we play at the end of home games to send off the losing visitors), and in the 3rd quarter, after the KU students abandoned the student section, the KSU students commandeered it and turned the whole thing purple. Wondering if they took the goal posts back to Manhattan like they've done in the past....

Little nervous about the Sooner's loss. They're coming to town next week, and I feel like as a thank you for beating them last week, Texas Tech beat the hornet's nest with a stick and then threw it into our backyard! nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

We are still in bed here, and Willie has just been a GIANT ball of cuddles. Lovely way to spend a Sunday morning!!

Well sounds like a beautiful day down in Kansas. Hopefully the pukus is just a hairball, we had puke fest this morning here too.

$80?? That is outrageous. Definitely not good to play a good team after they get beat. Good chance for K-state to show how good they are. :smile: Could be a fur shot or maybe he's just a cat? Willie, it's ok to stay in the nice blues today.

Not great Willie numbers, but blue is blue. Willie certainly is a charmer, I'm sure the DPS will get the hang of testing and that Willie will cooperate.

My footballing watching is to have it on the channel while I do other things. Kinda like music playing the background. Although I do tune in more if my team is doing well.


Hope it wasn't a furshot and Willie will come down nicely for ya.

Sounds like you're having some great weather just like us!! I'm also going to try to get outside for some yardwork!!

Whew, what a day! Leaves are in the street (big thanks to DS for all her help!), branches picked up and bagged for fireplace kindling this winter, and we had a yummy dinner... citrus glazed chicken tacos with cheaterbutt boxed spanish rice and some canned refried beans (black beans with lime and cilantro... surprisingly good from a can!). Plenty left for lunch tomorrow for both of us. Didn't get work done this weekend, as usual. One of these weekends.... :lol: :lol: :lol: I'm sleepy, so probably won't make it to many condos tonight... think green kitters, think green! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

ETA: We were 72 at +9 this afternoon... Apparently, no fur shot!!
