WCR: All Ps in place. Appy is doing pretty good this morning, but breath is still stinky. Got snuggles last night, but not this morning. I think I was tossing and turning too much last night...have a headache today...icky headache. :sad: Shasta just loved on me after she finished her first breffis eating. How sweet. :smile:

OT: Yesterday was exactly what I figured it would be with our cheesecake fundraiser...lots of excuses, lower numbers, etc. My top 2 groups were both under their goals by ~5 items...I won't take them to Choral Festival unless they meet their goals. It was fun to watch them all scramble and pull together to meet their goal by the end of class. The part that irritates me a little is...why didn't they "dig deep" before yesterday?! :roll: Just so everyone knows, it's never really about the money for me...it's about setting a goal, each student doing their part to reach that goal, problem solving & ultimately, enjoying their success as a group.

I'm glad Shasta has a good appy this morning. I hope she slides down for you. I'm glad your students were able to meet their goal, even if it was at the last minute.

Deborah,

I was a teacher, too, and know what it takes to hold students to a standard, especially a group goal. You're doing them so much good and I'm sure they know it!

Looks like Shasta is starting to ease her way down. I'm glad her appy is pretty good today....eat your fuds, little lady!

I can only imagine the fundraiser frustrations. I bet the kids didn't dig deeper because they love to push the limit, and because these days they get everything they want without any effort that they didn't expect to have to meet the goal. Good for you for sticking to it and teaching them a very valuable life lesson!

Oy on the fundraise. I saw your FB post and they looked amazing. Funny how lazy students can be until they are actually pushed.
