I guess Ms P wore herself out with that huge dive yesterday, but she is still on duty! Gelcap wasn't bad either last night or this morning. Appy, though, is just off the charts awesome (huge anti-jinx), and rumor has it I picked up THE best case of Fancy Feast ever last week! Holy moly does she dive into it with incredible enthusiasm...I am tempted to make a special trip out to PetSmart to hoard what's left of that batch (although, I do know what will probably result from doing that, so I'll refrain   !). Now, if she would just walk up to the plate and eat like that without MamaBean holding it! I can say that her first breffises have become significantly more independent, but she definitely likes to be "pampered" with her follow-up meals.

More than that....yesterday, for the first time since the p-titis in April...I saw her actually, literally playing :-D :-D :-D !!! For the most part, "playing" for Trix is rubbing her face on 'nip toys, and she has been doing that for a while. But in the past, she would also throw herself on her side and roll around with the 'nip toys while bunny-kicking them...and she was was doing that yesterday afternoon! I sooooo wish I had my phone on me so I could capture the moment...it was another thing I was positive I would never ever see again!

My Dad actually ended up not having chemo yesterday, since his platelet counts were just below the doc's cutoff range. Everything else looked good, though. We know this sort of thing is not unusual (especially with his protocol), but since it's the first time it has happened with my Dad, it's nerve-wracking. We were used to our routine and had our mindes prepped for every step of it. And, it's just as scary to NOT do chemo as it is to do it, too! So, no major shopping for my Mom and I, either. We stopped at Sam's on the way home for a few necessities, but going to Kohl's with my Dad along for the ride wouldn't have been fun. Probably for the best...I really shouldn't be shopping anyway!

I have a loooonnnnngggg class to teach today, so it's time to get rolling. Have a great day, LL!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Nice start today for Trixie! Looking good. I love the appy, so great to read that all is well there. I had to laugh on the not buying another case. I know that the minute I'd do that here they'd stop eating it.  Very cool too on the playing. Elsa plays like that too. Bug is a tosser, Lola a runner. Mannie was a nanner guy all the way. Funny how they all can be so different.

Bummer on the chemo ting for your dad. Best to be safe I guess. It's hard when one gets used to the routine that comes with it all.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

I'm so glad that Miss Trixie is feeling much better! This is awesome news! I know all about pampering the kitty. I, too, hold the bowl for Miss Blackie. Heck, they deserve it, don't they?

I hope that things with your Dad's chemotherapy get resolved very soon so that he can start to feel better quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with him, and your family.

Try and have a good day. :YMHUG: And thank you for being there not only for me, but for everyone on here, too.

Eating with gusto - that's what we like to see! :-D And good job, Ms. P. Keep up the good work. :-D Glad to see the catnip toys getting a workout too. :-D I hope your dad gets right back on track with the chemo. Have a great day, Amy.

Yay for bunny kickin the stuffing out of the nip toy!

I know the delay for chemo is hard, but when John's brother was going through it, it seemed getting th platelet count back up took a little longer every time. He's been in remission almost 4 years now though. (anti-jinx!!!!) :-D :-D :-D

Yay for the play and the diving into eating. I hope your dad gets back on track with his chemo soon. Even though it's frustrating to have to wait, it's better to be safe and make sure his numbers are good.

Too bad about your DF but perhaps it will give him a whole week of feeling good. I sure hope so.

I bet you were elated to see Trixie playing. I hope the p'itis becomes a very distant memory.

How wonderful to have a HAPPY cat! Keep it up, Trixie. And enjoy your new Fancy Feast. Nom nom!

Sorry that your dad's session was postponed, but he'll get back on the schedule soon. We are continuing to send vines.

Hugs, scrItches,

Doggone, Miss Trixie. You've got me beaming!!!! (and I'm not much of a beamer.) Amy, it just lifts me for the whole day when I read a Trixie's back condo. You guys went through so much and look where you are. Yup, I'm beaming.

Sorry about your dad's delay. Almost inevitable. I was practically on a three-week schedule. Platelets. I'd drive the two hours over, get told platelets were too low. Told my doctor I wasn't spending four hours on the road for nothing, come up with something for me to do over here to make the trip worthwhile. And she did! I hit some great hiking tails over in the St. George area on those "off" days. She's a mountain biker so had some great places for me to go. Oh, a few times I sneaked over to Mesquite to throw some money into the dark hole of slot machines, but usually I just put on my hat, long sleeve shirt and went hiking. Excellent therapy! Excellent doctor.

Vines that your dad gets back on track a lot faster than I did. And he will have an extra week of no crash.
