So much for healthy #'s. Michael no longer wants me to test him or give him shots. He hides under the bed.
he has figured out the times. I now have sractches all over my arms. He hissed at me today. He has never ever hissed at me in all the 13 yrs I have had him. Things just seem to be going from bad to worse. Don't know what to do. I'm really disrought. There is is nothing else I can do. He is not a happy camper and this just breaks my heart. I love him and he is starting to hate me. This damn disease :!: If I don't do anything he will suffer and I will have to put him to sleep. I was hoping he would be able to live a happy & comfortable life. This is awful :!: Sorry
Whoa there - easy does it. . .deep breath (don't forget to exhale)
Tell us when Michael started with this uncharacteristic behavior -
I'm thinking there must be a reason he has turned from Dr. Jekyll to Mr Hyde (or rather Mr. Hide ;-) )
Although I've not experienced anything like what you describe there may be others who have.
Could Michael be feeling unwell - a UTI or something along those lines? Has he had bloodwork done recently? Thyroid issues can cause a change in behavior, but can also easily be treated.
You have your LL family behind you, Paula....sending tons of hugs and prayers....
Michael appears to be fine. I gave him some chicken baby food and he came out to eat it. so far he is still out.(looking for the baby food.) Michael started all this behavior this am. He does have hyptert. Maybe he needs to have his thyroid tested again. It was tested at the end of sept. the t4 was normal.
Thanks
If his T4 was normal just a few weeks ago, I don't think you need to have it tested again right away. Hopefully, he was just having a bad day, and was irritable for some reason, and is feeling better now.
Hang in there, Paula.
I would talk to the vet and get his thyroid levels re-checked. Hyper-T can lead to aggressive behavior. Dyana may be right -- this may be something in passing. If the behavior persists, I'd encourage you to have him checked by your vet.
