Good Friday Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is high blue this morning (nicer than yellow!), so we are hoping for good things today. Our miserable weather continues: damp, chill, showers. Rusty is on his perch above the radiator, no doubt chillin' until he gets to go outside (waiting 'till it warms up a bit). We had a good night, good test, good breakfast in 2 sittings, good shot, and a weigh-in (16 lbs. 5.5 oz; he lost 1/2 oz. since the last weigh-in--yea!).

Not much planned for today other than getting things ready for our trip to the city on Sunday. This is surely not good paddling weather (nor is it good biking weather), but we will go out for our walk later. If it were simply cold, we could go out in our canoes, but it's no fun when it's cold AND rainy!! I'm enclosing a picture to cheer me up: our group's boats at our Columbus Day picnic on the Bog River Flow.



There, now I'm cheered up!!

Nice start for Rusty today! Yay for blue! Sounds like your weather is a little miserable. How quickly things change once mother nature decides to change seasons huh?

What a great picture! I bet that cheered you up. Good luck getting things ready for Sunday.

Hi guys .. ahhhh yay on rusty finding his blue leisure suit! Looking good my man, think you might add a touch of green to that? I hope the weather clears up for you so you can head out later .. it's been misting here for the last three days .. Have a great weekend!

Hey Rusty, how about comin down a little bit and meet Maggie on the low blue surf! Wouldn't that be cool! That's a nice pic of the group's boat. How many of you are in one boat for the paddle? I'm guessing four! I hope Rusty likes the Price Chopper's store brand Turkey & Giblets. I know that both Rusty and Maggie like the FF turkey & giblets, so hope it's one that doesn't raise his bg. It doesn't sound like it would with the water added. Have a nice day, Ella, and enjoy your walk.

Much better start today Rusty. How is he usually w/ NDW?

I think sitting on a warm radiator sounds like the perfect way to start a chilly morning. i hope it clears up for your walk.

Rusty, you gots radiators again? On Boy! they make your toes and tummy so nice and warm. Almost as good as daddy lap! -- Tess

Hi again,
Just a comment on the boats. Most of the boats in this picture are solo canoes. The larger one in the foreground is a tandem (2-person) We-no-nah. This is our boat and my sister and I paddled it that day. Edward was in his solo canoe for this paddle. Most of the time we paddle solo canoes because it is lots of fun and, being smaller and lighter, they are easier to portage (some of the "carries" we do are a mile long). Golly, I wish it was a nice day and that I was out in my canoe right now!!!

Rusty is still on his perch over the radiator. Going to see if he wants to have a look outdoors now.

I probably couldnt even lift the canoe, much less fit in or paddle it!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
You guys are so athletic! Glad Rusty is starting from a nice blue today-Hope he gets green later :mrgreen:
I do love the outdoors, but even living near the ocean, didnt get any boat rides this summer-- :cry:
Maybe one weekend--Hope all will be safe & well on your trip down here--Be safe my dears!

what a gorgeous day that must've been! a perfect sky, calm water and canoes - the pic looks so inviting.

did you take stu out on the water?

we're into the cold and damp plan here today as well. a good day to stay inside.

Hi again,
Almost green at +9!! Best number in quite a while. Fingers and paws crossed that he doesn't bounce! It's been raining all day, so no outdoor time for Rusty. We had some good games with his toys, however.

Rusty is looking so much better than the last time I was checking out condos!!! YAY!!!

Sorry to hear the weather is so ick. Wish we could share our sunshine with you!! Love the photo of the boats. I know you had a really fun day that day.

Tobey sure enjoyed all the cimmumum in all forms!!! He loves his Auntie Ellabean!

Rusty's numbers are good today - how nice not to see any yellow there! Go Rusty!!!

Well bummer on your weather... it isn't the best here either. we aren't as cold as you, just very wet! Rains on and off all day... Here's to better fall weather!

Much better today, Rusty!!! Ella, I swear, I would take -10 and snowy over upper 30s/lower 40s and rainy any day. Something about the way the moisture seeps the chill right into your bones... *shiver*

We got the somewhat typical rise to PMPS and beyond. But the numbers are lower today. I was cheered by the +9 104!

Liking the blues, Rusty!

i still make paper boats and let them float in the flowing gutter during the summertime...
but somehow I think we are in slightly different leagues... :lol:
