Today:
AMPS 87, 1.50u, 25g Evo 95% C&T, ate 24g
+1 - 26g Evo 95% C&T, ate 3, then ate 7g (so far)
+4 - ate remaining +1 meal
+7 - 23g Evo 95% C&T
PMPS 76, 1.50u, 27g Evo 95% C&T
+1 - 26g Evo 95% C&T
+2.5 77
+3.5 - 10g Evo 95% C&T as snack
Last night at her PS and +1 meals, she did much better, and ate her regular food w/o sups on her own. For the PS meal, I gave her 25g. The 2nd, 30g, but I think she ate 28-29g in total. All w/o water, too. So, this is good news. At least.
This morning, I syringed her about 1/2 tsp. of water. I saw her licking her lips beforehand, and was watching to see if she felt a bit nauseated. I didn't push giving her any more water than that. I'll try in a while after she eats to see how she does.
Breaking news!! At about 5:20 a.m. this morning... We have POO!!!! We LL people get excited over a cat pooing. But we do. It's HUGE news. She hadn't pooed since Friday before taking her to the vet. It was outside the boxes, however, I'll take it! I know it's hers because hers are typically dark in color, and she usually misses the boxes. I don't care. I'll clean up a poo mess outside the box just as long as I KNOW she's pooing. I was beginning to worry a bit, and told my vet about it yesterday when I was on the phone with her. She told me that it was because she's not eating as much right now, and there's less of it getting pushed through. Her body was probably using up as much as it can, which is always a great thing. Makes sense of course.
She got her 5:00 a.m. Tramadol this morning. I love that stuff! Less stress for her and me. In my opinion, and since she's already going through so much in her little life, if I don't have to give her too many pills, the better.
I told my husband last night about the generosity of this board. He's all on board with her care, and he KNOWS better than to argue with me over her care. He, too, knows that you don't put an animal down simply because it's not feeling well. That, in itself, would only be an extreme case (ie. terminal disease, or something) that can't be cured or fixed. I'm feeling relief, and apprehension along with it. Maybe she'll need sub-q fluids for a short time... Perhaps longer. Only she can tell me that. I'm just hoping that I'm smart enough to listen.
I'll be contacting everyone this morning via PM. Thank you all for your help, advice, and generosity. All 3 of us.. Blackie, myself, and my husband thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
