AMPS 235 @ 7:00 AM ... I have a sleep disorder and that is tooooooooooooo early for me!

I'm having trouble staying awake.
Going back to sleep for a couple hours - it was a short night and I'm helping with OVFF tonight.

yes, nice number and I'm still trying to figure out what "filk" is.

OK, I'm awake again and ate lunch. Hoping I can stay awake for a few hours and get some things done - took today off because of the convention.

Spitzer is getting 6-8 hours duration and his right eye was pretty goopy this morning. I think he has an eye and/or sinus infection. Seeing the vet at 4 pm.

To figure out filk takes a group, as the definitions are many, including "filk is what filk singers sing". Also, "the music of science fiction and fantasy"
It often has lyrics related to science fiction, fantasy, mythology, horror, cutting edge tech, parody, puns, ... or anything else.
The music may be created, or "borrowed" (to the tune of).
They are a 1 size fits nothing crew, the oddballs, the geeks in school, techies, and more.
Half a bubble off plumb.
Very diverse.

Took Spitzer in to vet.

Bloodwork: liver enzymes down (they had been elevated, so this is good); white count is up (not good - probably infection)
Eye stain: goop is due to an ulcer on the cornea, possibly herpetic.

He will get Clavamox tablets 2/day & and an antibacterial eye ointment 3/day, in addition to the insulin which is running really short acting. I've carefully nudged the ProZinc up to 1.2 units at this point, roughly every 8 hours to try to keep his glucose down. Its like misting a fire - barely effective, and not likely to work well until whatever infection is knocked down or out. Re-check blood in a week to see if progress.

Good to see his liver enzymes are down & now that he's getting treatment for the other issues hopefully you will be getting some better results in a few days.
