Zener is doing ok this morning. He isn't eating very well but he's outside enjoying his new favorite spot in the sun. No farmers market today, it's over for the season. I wish it would move inside like Ella's.

I'm not even sure how to describe yesterday. More than crazy. :lol: :lol: Tillie didn't eat until I gave her some cyproheptadine about 7 PM. Then she would eat about a teaspoon of chicken florentine every hour. She went to the vet for more fluids. The vet prescribed another round of clavamox since she wasn't better. Her urinalysis showed high WBC and high RBC but no bacteria. So we are also doing a urine culture. Since she was doing worse, I wasn't convinced that more clavamox would do her much good. So I am going to take her in today for an ultrasound to check on a kidney infection. It's walkin clinic today and the vet on duty is the ultrasound expert so lets hope things are quiet and she has time to do the US. Otherwise, we have an appointment for tomorrow. Thank you, Marje and Sienne, for your help last night on other things to consider. Thank you, Ann, for your input on Tess's UTI. I will go get that cranberry stuff today.

To top it all off, just as I was about to test Zener at +3, the power went off. And didn't come back on until +9. I tested him with the flashlight and was kind of glad I didn't have to worry about low BG. :roll: It was kind of creepy with everything so dark but I finally remembered it's the full moon and opened all of the blinds and curtains and then it was much better. The house got a little cool but I just piled on the blankets and stayed comfortable, once my spot got warm. :lol:

Anne's first flight got delayed but they were able to rebook and she will be home about 5 hours later than originally scheduled. Boy howdy will we all be glad to see her! And she will be exhausted from her long week with lots of work and little sleep so we will let her go to bed early. Right kitties?

I hope that the U/S will be today (with the specialist in U/S) and that Tillie will be feeling better (and you, too, once you find out what's bothering her). Continuing to send vines for Tillie, and also "let's eat" vines to the Z Man.

Safe travels home to Anne. Bummer on the 5-hour delay. Get a good night's sleep, Anne!

You guys need a "Jenny" Generax!! We are very happy to have finally gotten one installed so that we don't have to worry any more about power outages.

Holy guacamole, that's a lot of action for the Day of Rest! I hope Tilly checks out FINE.
The rest is just something that is funny in the telling (but not the living) for 'round the campfire.
The moonlight testing is quite the story!

What a crazy day yesterday. I hope today is much calmer. Hopefully you were able to get the u/s for Tillie. Sending prayers for her.

I hope Anne makes it home safely. Those delays are annoying. Zener slide down slowly today so Annebean can get some sleep tonight.

I really hope they have some good suggestion for Tillie's course of treatment, whatever it is she is suffering from.

Tillie isn't a CKD kittie, right?
I'm sure you already know this but according to the famous Tanya's site, cranberries aren't good for CKD kitties (http://www.felinecrf.org/holistic_treat ... #cranberry).

I hope everything goes well with Tillie today and they can figure out what is going on. Please let us know. I hope she will start eating soon.

Oh boy on the lectricity! Good grief. You should have put everyone in the car and come to Tucson :-D It's warm and.....we have heat :lol: :lol: :lol:

Tillie is getting complete bloodwork done then we will decide about the ultrasound, if not done today, then tomorrow.

I'm still sending tons of good vetty vines for Tillie. Poor thing has been there way too many times this week. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

:shock: on the testing by lights out. Although I must admit I sometimes do that now in the week hours with Neko's late nadir. A good strong LED flashlight is your friend. At least you didn't have to fill the syringe in the dark.

Patience pants are off! :-x :-x These numbers are just ugly. I increased from 1.0 to skinny 1.25.

OT: Tillie's bloodwork was absolutely fine. So we are doing the ultrasound tomorrow. She got fluids tonight and came home and ate all of her meds in pill pockets. Woohoo! She ate some yogurt and chicken florentine too, even a little with fortiflora. Paws crossed this continues {ant-jinx}.

Anne has landed in Phoenix, should be in Flagstaff in a couple of hours. :-D :-D :-D

OT: Tillie did get 1/8 of a pill of cyproheptadine. It is quickly becoming my favorite drug. ;-) :lol:

Fingers and paws crossed for a good u/s tomorrow. Glad that Tillie's bloodwork is normal. Did she eat one of the mice?

So sorry to keep missing your condos... I hope Anne made it home safely. I bet she is glad to be there.

I hope Tillie is doing better today. Good luck at the clinic, and I hope they will be able to do the US for you.

Good luck too with the dosecrease for Zener. It seems so out of place to see red and pink numbers. Come on down Z-Man!
