Sorry Sandy, I signed off and went to bed last night right after posting, so I didnt see your post until this morning. But I will make sure to get alot of tests in today and a Ketone test.

So her numbers have been high for a week or so now. I was talking with my husband about it, and come to find out, he had been feeding her while he was getting ready for work in the mornings(while I was still sleeping). I guess she was meowing at him and he would just feed her, not thinking about it. So she would eat about 2 hours before her AMPS. Not sure if that was causing the high numbers, so last night I made sure she had ZERO food overnight. I gave her about half a can around 9 for grazing and that's it. Needless to say, this morning from 7-8:30 she followed me around meowing like she hadnt eaten in a year LOL But I wanted to see if this would have an effect on her AMPS.

It was 113. So maybe her high numbers were food related? But then again, they have been high at her +6 and PMPS.... I have also been wondering if she was eating random cheerios the kids dropped too.. Garland used to break into the cabinet when she was younger and tear open sleeves of saltines for snacking. LOL

Your DH feeding her may indeed have affected her PS, depending on the timing and how much.

Get a +1 and +2 today.

I buy her the orange box of FF. It has Classic Chicken Feast, Classic Beef Feast and Classic Turkey and Giblets Feast in it. Ive been really good about Connicks food. I really really dont think shes getting into his. But Garland is a food driven cat. I wouldnt be surprised if shes been eating food the kids may have dropped.

Cheerios? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I had a civvie who would eat pasta, bagels, chips, etc.

I do like today's numbers a lot, though! Please get a +2. It looks like that +1 is telling you Garland may have an active cycle.

Someone found out the other day that the Turkey and Giblet from fancy feast has 7% carbs. So if Garland is carb sensitive this could spike her numbers. She is a carb addict.

I don't want to depress you (It's not supposed to be sad). But Maverick was also a carb addict - he'd rip open the tops of breadbags, and steal saltines and run away with them. When he was cremated the lady gave me half a cookie in the shape of half a heart. She said that she cremated Maverick with the other half. Inside I was really put out that she would do this without asking me - kept to myself. Once she left and I got a chance to sit and think things over I had the biggest smile on my face. Maverick loved carbs and I got a kick out of it. It actually is a special thing to me now. :mrgreen:

Yea, Garland has always loved breads and crackers. I remember all to well finding half eaten crackers all over the place when I woke up in the morning years ago. LOL Now I keep the pantry locked haha

Karrie- that is a special story. I think thats wonderful about the cookie. Do you still have that other half?

Oh Violet - those numbers are a sight for soar eyes - what a HUGE difference! I sure hope the highs were related to food. These are so much better :-D :-D

As FYI, buy the orange box of FF too, but can't give Boo the Turkey and Giblets....I give that one to his brother!

I always love the "no rrrrreeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyyy, I'm STARvvviiiiinnnnngggggg" tale of woe. Always so much conviction behind the plaintive little meows and sighs.

Miss Garland, you look so pretty in green, how about we just leave those carbs alone???

Garlands "pitiful meow of hunger woes" is more like a loud freight train siren. She has a good pair of lungs on her :lol:
 
Nice am cycle for Garland and she joins the other zoom zoom zoom kitties at +10. Nice that she came back down for PMPS.

It's so great to hear she's eating so well!
